I believe my husband said you could print up boarding passes without a cost. The business center is on the 2nd floor. You have to pay to use it and pay to print stuff off as well.

I just asked at the front desk and they printed boarding passes for us.
Hi, Janet!
I do recall Kathy's (ksromack) husband having to print their boarding passes too -- in fact, I ran into him in the elevator of the PPH, on the way to the business center, which is where I was going. I don't think he paid anything.
I think it's all of the "other stuff" -- regular Internet access, checking email, printing, etc. -- that costs a lofty $5.00 for 10 minutes!I mean, it's good to know that the option is there in case of an emergency, but $5 for 10 minutes is crazy business!
So you're saying you wouldn't recommend DISing at the PP Business center?I'm way too cheap for that.

We've done boarding passes both ways---had them printed for us at Guest Services, and printed them ourselves, for free, in the Business Center.
Very much agree with rydersmommy about the CMs at the PPH---we have found them to be exceptionally friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to help/serve us!![]()
Yes to charging, and I believe yes to blocking. I think only my key and dh's key had charging privileges in May.We leave for the 1st part of our trip Friday and I am so excited! Yet, I am starting to have nightmares that I can't find rides and have only rode 1 ride by 4:00pm! Darn the planner in me!
Anyways, this has been on my mind - can you use your room key to charge everything back to your room? Can you block it on the kid's keys?
Thanks!

I just wanted to make sure your question wasn't overlooked as the rest of us go over the many different explanations of how to get from the PPH to the GCH and beyond!
In bellebookworm9's handy post with photos -- Here -- you will see the coffee maker in her first photo. I would assume those are Joffrey's pods, but I can't quite tell?
Mine were Joffrey's. I don't have a pod coffee maker at home, but the pod thing in the PPH room was easier to use than my actual coffee maker. The Joffrey's pods that I had were the kind of thin paper like tea bags, sort of, and round.

The GCH lobby is the best place to go (or one of the best places) on a hot day, isn't it? The lighting is nice and dim, for weary eyes. The chairs and sofas are nice and comfortable (so much so, I didn't want to stand up!). Snacks and drinks are just a pebble's toss away. It's lovely, in warm weather or in cold weather!
I believe there are supposed to be rooms with 2 queens and a daybed, although I don't think very many. If one of the adults isn't very big, you could do a bunk bed room. We've had an adult on the bottom trundle part before. My son loved the little rocking chairs in front of the TV. We actually took a mid day break there one day before having to walk all the way back to PPH.
I would love to stay there one day, but the rooms would be a bit small for us. With me, my dad and my son, we'd need at least three beds and at PPH it works with the daybed for my son. Don't know if GC has that, or if DLH even has that, but from what I've read here it does not.

Those rocking chairs are so cute! I love that whole GCH lobby vibe/set-up for rest and relaxation, but I prefer the actual PPH rooms by a long shot -- they are more spacious, and almost all of the rooms have the daybeds, whereas not as many of the GCH rooms have them.
The top bunk has a railing all the way around it, so no chance of rolling out. Otherwise, I would have been worrying all night, too!thatgrljme said:I actually noticed that in some pics so I looked for reviews and found one of a family with two teenagers and her son is about 5'7ish and was hanging off the end of the bed. I'm almost 5'9 so that would be a no go for us lol
And I'm almost positive my son would want to sleep on the top bunk which would leave me up all night freaking out about him falling out haha.
We did very much enjoy the PPH, the people, the rooms, everything about our stay was awesome except the heat. I would like to stay at the other two hotels at some point in my lifetime. Perhaps when my son is older and it can be a just me and him trip.

Hi, thatgrljme….
So glad you enjoyed your stay at the PPH!
I love that you felt everything about it was awesome(except for the heat)!!!
We always feel that way as well---that's what keeps us returning to the PPH, over the other two Disney properties, most of the time!![]()

He's such an active sleeper I'd still worry. I was shocked he didn't fall off the daybed, even with the blowup rail I got that goes under the sheet. He manages to fall out of his bed at least once every two weeks and it sits on the floor lol
Hi Cheshirecatty.....it was a wonderful stay. I'd still like to experience the other two hotels as I never ever stayed on property. When I use to go to DLR I lived in California, so no need to stay, now living in Texas there are obvious reasons to stay and my dad always says "you get what you pay for" so I have a feeling it will be on property all the time and most likely at PPH unless we get the chance at a more reasonable rate at the others.

I could not agree with you more about the heat!I don't know if you've ever seen my rantings and ramblings about the heat in any of my Halloween or Christmas/Holiday Superthreads, or in my former trip report thread from a long time ago, but I am no fan of heat! Anything above 70 degrees or so is "hot" to me, and it's always been that way (since childhood). That's why I usually dread summer and long for the sweet relief of autumn (though even autumn has been way too warm in recent years).
I think that if you can swing an eventual stay at the other two hotels, it is worthwhile to try them out. The Disneyland Hotel (which I always stayed at until I began staying at the PPH) has spacious rooms too, and the fun headboards. Of course, it is the original Disney hotel so there is history there. The Grand Californian is nice, but the thing I like best about it is the lobby!I just found the rooms to be too cramped for my liking (as well as being dark-ish), on both occasions I stayed there. I think it's definitely preferable to stay there with only 2 people instead of 3 or more, so you have more space.
I agree with you(and your Dad) completely!
And you absolutely should plan a stay at the DLH, and the GCH, if you get the opportunity(and a good rate)!
They are all beautiful properties, and each has it's own unique offerings, in addition to the overlapping perks, which come with staying on site!
This will give you an(even bigger) incentive to come back to the Resort---trying out the other two Disney property hotels---a Win/Win situation in my opinion!!!!
