I just got a AP rate of $189 for the Paradise pier theme park concierge view. I have never stayed concierge but it was $40 more than the regular room and the customer service rep said the breakfast alone for 4 kids will make it worth while. I have been calling for over a month for a room with no luck and then today they have this. I only have until tomorrow to cancel and hope for the Disneyland hotel which is where we wanted to stay. If I cancel I may not be able to get this rate again. I am going with 4 kids, 2 10yr old girls and a 12 & 13yr old boy. We are going to the DCA halloween party and then hanging out at the pool since the AP's are blacked out for Saturdays.

What types of food is available in the concierge lounge?

how long can you use the lounge?

how comfortable is the couch bed in the room for an adult?

and has anyone successfully pool hopped to the DLR pool?

This is my Son's b-day present and he doesn't know I was able to get the reservation yet. He wanted to stay at the DL hotel and swim in the neverland pool but there are no rooms available at any rate. I am thinking about getting a late lunch at Goofy's kitchen to top off the day. The CS rep said to ask the paradise pier desk if we can pool hop as a special treat for my son or she said to wait until someone opens the gate at the pool and just use it. We stayed at the paradise pier last year for the same thing and I was not impressed with the theming at the paradise pier pool area.

I did find the answer to my pool hopping questions from the Disneyland resorts page, or at least I think by services they also mean the pool areas. Amenities would be a better word.

* If you are a Disneyland® Hotel or Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel Guest, you may use any of the services at either Resort Hotel. You may also use the massage services and Pinocchio's Workshop (children's activities center) at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa for an additional fee (advanced reservations required).
* Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa services are for the exclusive use for Guests staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa only.

So it seems using the neverland pool while staying at the PP is ok but I will ask at check in. That makes concierge PP a good choice for the price as the neverland pool was my son's main request and no matter what I tried there were just no rooms available. It will be fun to let them try both pools out to see which one they really enjoy.
