Paradise Pier Pins disappearing?

When the hotel pins came out, I bought a bunch of each kind. Anywhere from 5 to 10 each. If I stayed there I bought even more.

I looked in my inventory the other day and found just one Paradise Pier Hotel pin. I also had way more DLH pins than I would have expected. I went into trade rooms asking for the PP pins and several people made comments like "Oh, I have a bunch of those. ... [pause] ... um, maybe not."

I wrote to the black hole, and got a response after about 2 weeks, telling me that they renamed the pins, and I should check again for it under the new name DLR Paradise Pier Hotel.

I did. I have exactly 2: the one I already had, plus one I just traded for. But I am telling you, I bought a MINIMUM of five of those suckers.

Has anyone else lost Paradise Pier pins, or found extras of other hotel pins in their inventory? Or am I suffering from delusions of persecution?

Right now I can't remember which one this was, but there was one hotel pin that I bought at least 2 of. It was one of the DLR hotel pins, I think the one with the sorcerer hat on it (forget the name). That went bye bye a while back, then another hotel pin (also DLR) went bye bye a couple weeks later. Since I wasn't sure which was which or what exactly I was missing, I didn't report it/use contact us. A couple Tomorrowland retro pins went bye bye as well. All of this happened in June, I believe. No one had my password or login info, so it wasn't a hacker. I haven't had any problems since then, thankfully.

Sorry to hear you're having similar issues. I know someone here said somewhere on the DIS once that she wound up with an extra animator's stool seat. I myself found an extra blue pirate throne in my inventory one day. My problems happened before the inventory changes, so sounds like there may have been issues before then.

Speaking for myself, mine disappeared quite a while before they renamed them or changed the inventory set up.

That's weird. I just checked my inventory and I now only have one DLR Paradise Pier pin. I don't remember how many I had though, but I never buy just one special pin. Oh well, wonder what happened. Guess it's time to take inventory.

left, too! I bought multiples of every series for a while, now. I know I had
multiples of Paradise Pier, but not anymore.

I'm really glad that it's not just me, but I'm bummed that it's happening to

You know, this has happened to me a lot more than I thought. I was missing an entire yellow princess outfit including shoes. The shoes came back last week I think. A cowboy hat and Indian headdress also came back after being missing for about a year! I had some of the orange tomorrowland pins go missing too but they eventually showed up so I was able to give them to friends. When they changed the inventory format, two complete pink princess outfits including shoes appeared in a mule's inventory. I gave those away too. That's the positive side of things going missing in your inventory. You eventually forget about them and suddenly one day they reappear!

From a former software writer's perspective, it seems like there is a bug with maintaining a linked list of objects somewhere in the code. I'd even say it seems to be a problem with a doubly linked list because sometimes the objects reappear which implies that at least one link didn't get lost. But I don't even know if linked lists are used anymore so I guess I'll shut up.

I think a question we all need to answer now is...how much stuff is sitting in your inventory?

I've had my pins and clothes for the most part divided up among 2 characters since I can't put them down in a room. But when they organized our inventories, I tried to put them all back on my main character and now I'm feeling like stuff has gone missing. I can't be sure though since I didn't take a full count before I did. But I know for sure that I had even amounts of series pins. And now I have like 3 of one, 5 of another or 1 of one. And I find this really strange.

Well, I'm missing a HSM dress. Went looking for it last week and it was gone, like Cinderella only the shoes were left behind.

But here's an odd one for you...I am also missing my Music Mix for one of my mules. Logged in yesterday and when I went to play a mix, nothing happened (no option came up??). Went to remix and found the character's 2 music mixes were gone. Very strange!

I like to spread stuff among mules too, but now I'm afraid of what might become untradeable. I split up my water slides, and now my main is stuck without as many. I did move all my extra pins to just one pin trading character though. I'll have to check on the paradise pier later, thanks for the info!

I never leave furniture in my inventory for fear of this happening. I can't do anything about the pins or costumes.

Putting it in a room is NO safe thing either....I had 6 pumpkins stored in my halloween storage room and went to trade 3 of them picked up one and it disappeared right before my eyes I mean *poof* it was gone not in the room and not in my inventory either.

Wow, a magic disappearing pumpkin! That must be more rare than the backwards "D" and smoking pumpkins combined!

I assume you still managed to pick up three pumpkins to trade. If so, how did you ever summon the courage to do that? I would have been so afraid the other pumpkins would disappear into thin air too!

Mal, this is the first time I've heard of this happening. I think I would have had kittens right on the spot if that happened to me. Let me know if you still need a pumpkin. I have some in storage that didn't disappear a couple of weeks ago when I put them in my inventory so I could rearrange the store room. Hopefully they won't turn into magic disappearing pumpkins.

I like the renaming of the pins so now all the DLR one are together in inventory... all the WDW pins are together in inventory.... it does help keep them better organized.... These pins were released before the inventory reorganization.....

BUT I am so sad of things going POOF from inventory

I have doc file of all my clothing, pens, and furniture. I add or take away from thems as I buy or trade things.

Whenever a new pin comes out I ALWAYS buy 8 of them. Now I only have 1 Paradise Pier Pin Saturday I was in the host room and asked her if she has had any reports of this happening and she said she hasn't heard about this.(I think it was Phinny's room) I doubt they will magically reappear back in my inventory
