Should we stay here for our 5 night stay or at GCH? I’ve read the hotel is being rethemed and I’m wondering if I should avoid it because construction. Having pool access is not a big deal to us. Was hoping for a summer discount at GCH but I’m thinking that’s doubtful after looking the historical discount dates.

Thanks for the advice!

We were debating b/w PPH and DLH for our upcoming July trip, and we decided on DLH. Our kids don't really care too much about amenities, but it sounds like the construction at PPH is a bit more of an inconvenience than the construction at DLH. And I don't think we'll want to use the pool, but if the parks are too crowded in the afternoon, it's nice to have it as a closer option (instead of having to trek over to the DLH pool from PPH). I'm really excited for the PPH retheme, though, and I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done. Of the 3 hotels, I'm sure my family will be more excited to stay in Pixar Place, since they have a much stronger connection to Pixar than the older traditional movies. We're even in that minority of fans who prefer DCA over DL (by a little bit) mainly because our kids have grown up watching Pixar and Marvel movies.

Is money an issue? The only reason to stay at PPH over GCH is to save money. And at that point you may consider staying across the street on Harbor.

If GCH is affordable, I'd do that for sure.

Construction can really put a damper on your trip. PP doesn't have all the amenities, or even a proper lobby right now. As far as I know the restaurants aren't open yet, which is very inconvenient.

I just watched a youtuber's video update of the progress on PPH and it looks amazing so far. They do have a proper lobby now. I'm almost wishing we had booked PPH instead of DLH for our upcoming trip -even though it's still far from complete. But I guess this just means we have more motivation to go back after it's complete.
