Hi! Please help! I was wondering if the PPH standard rooms had a sofa bed? In the pictures I see what looks like a small sofa, but wondered if it pulls out? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes, the sofa pulls out to a bed!

Yes, as Peri said, they do have a sofa bed...but it is a bit of a convoluted, confusing contraption. It looks very nice as a sofa/daybed type of thing, but when you try to assemble it as the bed, it takes some doing.

Yes, it does, but it wasn't very comfortable, at least for me. I ended up back in bed between my two little princesses who love to kick off the blankets and move all over! LOL Plus, if you are on the sofa, you can't see the princess tell the story, or see the other cool channels! :rotfl2:
Be prepared for very slow elevators. When you want to go down, press the UP button. Yes, I said up, otherwise, you will not get on the elevator for a very long time! LOL
PS. If you find a set of keys with a little green tag on it that says "I'm not weird, I'm gifted", those are mine, and I would love to get them back. There is also a Listerine thing on the keys too.
I think Mickey didn't want me to leave!:rolleyes1

There is a channel at the Disney hotels where a princess tells a bedtime story.

And it's not always the same Princess each time you turn on the channel, right? It seems like we saw a couple of different ones.

One thing I would say, too, about the Paradise Pier - as soon as you get in your room, before you unpack or anything, check the water in the bathroom. Just turn on the faucet and let it run for a few seconds and smell it to make sure it's okay. I have stayed at PPH a bunch of times over the years (dating back to 2000, I think), and there has really only been one time we stayed there that was unfavorable. I think this was a fluke but just to be safe, might as well check the water.

What happened was that when we were at PPH in October 2008, we had a cursed room. The water coming from the bathroom sink smelled like sulfur - a really strong, poo-like odor. We thought it might happen just one time and then not again. Wrong. We had a jam-packed schedule and no time to really deal with waiting for a plumber to come and check it out. But it was gross. Every time we turned on the water to brush our teeth or whatever, that sulfur/poo smell was so strong that we couldn't take it. Again, I think it was just a fluke, or maybe the pipes were bad in that specific room (Room 513, by the way), because the next time we stayed there (different room) it was perfectly fine. No poo water!!

I did call DLR after I got home from that trip to let them know about that room, in hopes they would fix the water/plumbing issue before the next guest checked in. So I am sure it's all fine now.

Thank you so much everyone! This info. is very helpful and I'm excited about the princess story telling!

As Sherry said, it's a weird mechanism. Doesn't so much as pull out as it flips over. Took me three stays to finally figure it out. (never needed it, but was curious)

The story telling channel has always been pretty obvious. I try to avoid it, as the voices of the women are heinously cloying (sadly, I could absolutely be a princess voice), but they do run in a loop with the downtime being a blank screen with some sort of message on it (OK, not blank, but more blank than having a show on it!).
