We are staying the week at PPH in DLR. How is it? Anyone have pictures? Last year we stayed at DLH, and we all loved it.:cutie:

We will be there in 11 days! I'll let you know how it was when we return. Everything I've heard about PP has been positive so far. :)

My parents and my twin and I stayed at Paradise Pier in July 2005. It was beautiful! There is a this GREAT Mickey lamp (him sitting on lightguard chair if I remember correctly). The room was a comfortable size and we had a park view of CA which was wonderful. In the middle of the night, I would push myself up in bed and look out the window so I could see the park at night! :)

There's a great Goofy statue in the lobby too, so don't miss that! I would stay there again in a heart beat.

Have a WONDERFUL trip! :thumbsup2

I love it!! I love the beachy surf theme, it just makes it feel like a vacation! A lot of people complain about the elevators but we have never had a single problem! We also were on the 9th floor facing the park (comp upgrade) and it was beautiful!! And like the PP above, we also take pics with the lobby statue.

It's a quick walk if you cut through the Grand's lobby! Can't comment on the pool since we were there in January, but it has a cool slide (deposits into a side pool but that doesn't bother me!)

I was there two years ago and LOVED IT!!! Its more of a walk to the monorail but I LOVED IT!

I am soooo looking foward to it!!!! I cannot wait!! I have heard people complain about the walk but we stayed in the DLH and went to Lilo Stich Breakfast and then to the park and it did not bother us.

We have stayed there twice and love it, sorry no pictures though, we had a park view room and wow, what a view!

Same here for no digital pictures, Sorry!!! But we have regularly stayed there and really like it. The feel is really Disney and the water slide at the pool is nice. Just sneak through the Grand Californian if you are going into California Adventure. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed there for the 1st time in Feb and enjoyed it a lot. We had a 2 queen with sofa sleeper room overlooking DCA and the view was amazing. It is a bit of a hike to DL, but just as others have said, cut through GCH to make it a shorter walk. The room is spacious enough for our family of 4. The hotel iteslf is beach themed which is really cute. There is a glass elevator in the middle of the hotel which our kids loved to ride to get to our room. There is a room with a TV playing disney cartoons in the lobby like at DLH by Goofy's. The pool slide is pretty unique amongst the 3 DLR hotels in that it does not directly go into the big pool. They also pipe the fireworks music into the pool area during the fireworks show. I'm sure you'll have a great time at PPH.

If you've seen those already, sorry for the duplicate info!

We really enjoyed our two stays at PP. My kids loved the pool slide. If the walk to and from the DLH didn't bother you, this one won't either, its very little difference imho. And you have the monorail option for Disneyland and cutting through the GCH for DCA will save lots of time. I loved the oversized rooms and the way the couches made into a very nice twin sized bed was really nice. They are way comfier than the daybeds at the DLH. More like a real bed. Our second stay we upgraded to a theme park view and it was incredible. I loved falling asleep at night to the lights of DCA (they do turn them off at some point however most nights they were still on when we turned in). I think you will really enjoy your stay there!

We have stayed there and loved it. The kids loved the glass elevator. THe pool is great. Staff wonderfull

We were at the Paradise Pier about 6 weeks ago. I was really pleasantly surprised with it! We have only stayed at the Grand Californian, so I didn't know what to expect. It has the Disney touches that you expect at a Disney resort, like the basket under the counter to hold the dirty towels. (I loved the Mickey lamps too!)

The walk was easy, both through the Grand Californian and then to the monorail and Downtown Disney. Good gift shop, buffet, and coffee/pastry shop area.

And the price is right, and because it's a Disney resort, it includes the early entry perk.

The main thing that I noticed is that it is more "quiet" and low-key because it's smaller (even though there was a cheerleading convention there at the time).

The parking is also convenient--a parking structure behind the hotel. It's easy to run out to the car to get something.

I would definitely stay there again!
