Paradise Pier Hotel, LOVED IT!

We just back from staying 2 nights at the Paradise Pier Hotel and we absolutely loved it! We are DVC members and were on the wait list for a room at the Grand Californian but were not able to get in there so went with Paradise Pier instead. We have never stayed at any of the Disneyland Hotels and were very hesitant about staying at the "cheapest" Disney Hotel but our expectations were blown out of the water. When we checked in we were upgraded from a regular view room to a CA view room. The room was amazing! We could see WOC and the fireworks from DL clearly! The room was big, clean and quiet. The bed was sooooo comfy! We loved the pool area and also enjoyed watching the fireworks from there one night. The walk to the parks never took more than 10 minutes. We loved the perks of magic morning, 2 super fast passes and early entry to Little Mermaid. This trip was wonderful and the hotel really made this a special birthday for me.

AWWWW..another great review about PPH! I am so tempted to just go for it & stay at PPH next July 2012. It will be our first & probably only trip to DL. We live in Pittsburgh PA so we are WDW vets but we can't wait to venture out west. I keep looking at all the pretty photos of the DL on-site hotels. But I still have time until I make the final decision

So glad to hear that! I haven't stayed at the PPH in about over 8 years. I always stay at the DLH and GCH (also DVC members) but Laurie (DizNee Luver) posted some photos of the new rooms from her trip earlier this year and they looked so nice, I decided to give it a try for my August trip. I am really looking forward to trying out the PPH soon!

We just got back a few weeks ago and I splurged and stayed there our last night and stayed somewhere else the rest of the trip. We LOVED it! I cant wait to go back. The themeing there is so totally 'us', it was awesome!

That's so great to hear! I've been hearing mixed reviews about Paradise Pier but lately all stellar ones. We've been looking for an affordable alternative to staying on the park, and have always wanted to try Paradise Pier but have never done it, we always stay true to DLH. This time we're staying at Best Western Park Place Inn across the street and I'm pretty scared to lose the magic. I'd love to keep the Magic Mornings and super fast passes. I'm glad you had a good time and a great stay!!
