Paradise Pier Concierge Room

I'll be staying at one of the PP concierge rooms in early May. We did not pay for a theme park view. I have read that they have concierge rooms on the
3rd floor that have a patio. First, has anyone stayed in one of these rooms, and if so, what are your thoughts? Second, do you have to request one of these rooms, or are these the standard non theme park concierge rooms?
