We plan on spending the day at Paradise Beach while we are in Cozumel. I am curious if anyone can tell me what it will cost for a taxi to take us there from the port. There are 5 of us. Thanks!!!!

Also do you "shop around" for the best price from the taxi drivers at the port or are they pretty uniform??

Hi just as you come out of punta lagosta mall there are a row of taxis at a rank, the prices are all posted on a board, i think it was around $12 for a taxi of 5 to PB and the same back , there are taxis waiting at PB or you can arrange for the same driver to collect you, nice beach, good food and drink prices, if you want to use the water toys its' $5 per person using , free for those who don't, clean and hygenic bar area, showers and changing rooms, if you want to snorkel go past the iceberg and the fish get bigger and better. there is snorkel equipment to rent included in the $5 as are kayaks, trampoline and iceberg or you can take your own stuff no problem, wish we'd had longer there but didn't go until the afternoon. have a great time.

Thanks for responding so quick!! How long was the taxi ride????

The taxi ride when we went was only 15-20 minutes, depends on how fast the driver goes.

We are a family of 6...just be aware that the taxis are not that big...more like mid size sedans (typically they would seat 4 passengers plus a driver). If your little pirates are not so little you might need to rent a van...they are like twice as much money. If you would like...Tom at Paradise beach does collect school supplies for the children of cozumel...I dropped some stuff off for him and he was very apprecative (sp?) Even "bought" me a yummy drink! By the way, we ordered a lot of food and it was all excellent.

My pirates are actually quite small (7,,6,4). I think we can all fit. Is Tom like the manager of Paradsie Beach or something??? I will gladly bring some school supplies as long as he is easy to find!

Tom is the owner of Paradise Beach. He posts alot on the cruisecritic boards. We loved PB. The food was excellent! We were charged $13 for the taxi rides to and from.

We went to Paradise Beach last January and loved it! The place is very clean and the people are nice. We also ate lunch there and it was very good.

Thanks everyone!! I have not heard one negative thing about Paradise Beach. That is the reason I can't wait to go there!!!!

We were there in April and had a fabulous time! Best wishes for a great vacation!

By the way, Paradise Beach Tom is the manager there, not the owner. But he's the friendliest guy and makes sure that all the people at PB are given the best possible service!

Have fun!
