Parades in Magic... I will have 3 kids (5 and under) 3 adults with one being a grandmother. Where is a great place to see the parade ? (3 pm and/ or electric parade)

How early do YOU line up to see it ?

Where do you go and sit to see it ?

I've heard on a grandparent blog that she brings a 3 legged stool which I guess we could leave in our lockers at the entrance. Would this help ? I must admit I too have a hard time sitting on the ground or standing in one place long.

Any other helpful handy hints for parade watching ?!!

Time of year is January we are going.

thanks !!!

Heather

Good Question - We are going over Christmas week! I hope we can find a good spot too!

We like to get to the MK parade at least 45 minutes early to get a prime curbside spot. However, the curb can get really hard after a short time! What I always do is purchase small inflatable bath pillows at the dollar store. They take up little room in purse/backpack, inflate in seconds, and are more comfortable for sitting than cement!

what a jolly good idea! :goodvibes

op- i have seen folk curbside over 2 hours before 3pm parade, but that was the exception. i don't know about crowds this time of year.

have a good trip. :yay:

In May, we went to see the Electrical Parade at MK (we've seen it numerous times but that was before our DD really cared to actually sit and watch). We got there about 40 minutes before hand - and sat on the curb right in front of the train station when you walk in. It was PERFECT. We did have people try and stand in front of us - but they were escorted away since cast members saw them come stand right in front of us where we were sitting, AND it was too close to the parade.

We are going on Friday and I plan to do the same. Find a spot around 45 minutes or so beforehand. It does get uncomfortable, so I may take pp's advice on a $1 blow up pillow! Perfect!

what are the $1 blow up pillows? are those in the bath section for a bath? dollar tree? hmm, must stock up, I love the idea of these :)

I have read on here that these are not allowed.

I'm not sure if this qualifies the same as a stool, but when we were there in October I saw 2 older gentlemen walking in the parks with a cane/stool combo. I pointed them out to DH as I thought it might be a good thing for DFiL. It looked like a 3 legged stool (with a very small seat) and had a curved handle to hold when using it as a cane.
