We're looking at going to DLR in Dec. this year. I haven't been in Dec. since 2000.

We're looking at probably going the 9th (Sun)- 13th (Thurs.). I'm assuming this will be typical off season hours? I'm wondering if the Electrical Parade runs during Dec. or not? Also I know they have holiday fireworks. Do you think they will show them on a Sun? I'm trying to decide if I want to adjust our schedule to Sat-Wed. instead. My kids have never seen the holiday fireworks show so I'd kind of like them to experience that. But at the same time we're so spoiled from going off season and mid-week that I'm not sure we could handle major crowds that Saturdays usually bring.

We have gone many times in December. The EP is tradionally shown from Dec 15 through the end of the Christmas season, so you might just miss it. You will definitely see fireworks showing on a Sunday during that time. Our trips are always planned Sun-Wed and we see the fireworks on Sunday nights.

Thanks for the info! I was afraid we'd miss the electrical parade. :( I've been a dozen times at least to DLR and have never once been there when it was running. Oh well.

I'm so glad to hear that we'll probably get to see the fireworks on Sunday at least. I know they will love it. :goodvibes Do they still do "snow"?

I'm thinking about the same dates! I called the Disney travel line to ask if they knew for sure and I was told it would start on the 11th or 12th? Which I kind of questioned, since that's a Tues/Wed. Sounded off to me, but that's what he said. They usually seem real informed, but I was very suspect of this guy's knowledge. I was going to call again and see if I got another person. If I get any info, I'll let you know.

Yep, it snows after each showing of the fireworks. Disney Magic at its finest!

We can cross our fingers, right? :) I'd appreciate it if when you found out anything you could let me know. Thanks! :goodvibes

Sure! I'll probably call again this week. I really want to get my dates chosen.

I didn't know they make it snow after the fireworks! Oooh. When do they start that? What's the best spot for the full effect? My kids will go crazy. We live in Hawaii, so how cool will that be?

Last year (which is no guarantee about what they will do *this* year) they ran the Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks every night from November 10-January 7(?). So if that's the case you could see them any night of your trip. Or see them multiple nights from different places.

My favorite place for viewing the fireworks, and for the snow, is on Main Street. The "snow" starts during the final song, after the fireworks themselves end. It's really neat. It also snows on small world way, but the fireworks viewing is a bit obstructed from there.

I'd be really surprised if they started the Electrical Parade on the 11th...it's typically started its Christmas season run around the third weekend of December - 15th or 16th or thereabouts, which is when they extend park hours since there's more visitors.
