parades and fireworks

I was wondering if someone could answer a few questions about the parades and fireworks. I have been switching back and forth to different sites and different threads about this.

Does Illuminations run every night at Epcot around closing time?

We are going the first week in October, will Fantasmic run every night. During that time of year, how long before do you think we will have to line up... not the 2 hours like I have read I hope!

Does Wishes and Spectromagic run every night. I have checked a different site with the hours from last year and I can't make heads or tails out of it. Again, how long before will we have to find a place before it starts the first week in October.


For the afternoon parades, am I right that MGM and MK parades start at 3 and AK starts at 4. I just trying to plan what time to make PS for. If we made PS before the parade, what restaurants
would be closest to the parade routes?

the best site to us is the disney site they will post all the days & times for eveything you are looking for. we usually go in apr. and i get that info on that site to plan are trip. good luck randog

Yes.

Fantastmic does run everynight. The first week of October tends to be a low crowd time so there will probably only be one showing of Fantasmic. Since there will be lower crowds you probably won't need to line up till about 30-45 min before hand.

Wishes does run every night. Spectromagic depends on seaon. Since you are going at a low crowd time, it probably will only be showing a few nights a week. You won't know for sure till they put out the schedule, but your best bet at this point is a Friday or Saturday night.

When we were there last, the Parade at MGM started at 3:30, the one at MK started at 3:00, and AK at 3:45. The trip before that it was slightly different except for MK - it was still at 3 p.m. So you really have to wait for the parade schedule to come out to know for definite.

Really doesn't matter, since the parades in all parks really goes through most of the lands. In AK, the parade route starts in Africa, goes around the Oasis, and then finishes in Africa. So as long as you are not trying to eat at Rainforest Cafe you will be OK. In MGM, the parade route starts by Star Tours, goes to the Sorceror's Hat and then down Hollywood blvd toward the front of the park. So, Mama Melrose's is really the only one not on the route. And at MK, the parade goes through Frontierland, to Liberty Square, to the Castle, around the hub, and then down Main Street. So all of the PS available restaurants are on that route.
