parade viewing spots

Great info for a newbie thanks!

As for viewing the Wishes from the CG in CR, how is the view there? I have never been to MK or seen wishes (I know it is horrible!! I plan on remedying this next year ). I know I definately would like to see them while in the MK, but thought maybe seeing them at CG would be cool too. I know it is probably a very hard ADR to get, but hey a girls gotta have some sort of plan

Some folks like that view.
I prefer " 'Ohana" at the Poly.
And there's also Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian.

What's AMAZING (and hard-to-believe until you SEE it) is that the FARTHER you get from the MK... the LARGER the Fireworks APPEAR!
That's why the Poly beach and 'Ohana are such great spots.

The smoking area (if you can stand it...wasn't bad the evening we were there) between Main St. and Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station is a GREAT spot to watch Wishes.

We caught the tail end of Spectromagic at the end of the parade route between Adventureland and Frontierland. Had front row seats at the corner railing by the rope.

MGM's Stars and Motorcars Parade, either at the Backlot Express entrance near the start of the route or, as I preferred, up against the curb with your back to the Star Tours entrance area (that way the sun isn't in your eyes and pics/video will not be backlight). Plus, if you're there and first behind the parade, your little ones can walk the parade route behind the last "float" and hold onto the rope that stretches across the road. My DD did it and enjoyed it.

FWIW thanks for the info on the Aloha show vs. Ohana. We were initially scheduled for the Aloha show but I didnt hear any great reviews....I swithced to Ohana, and it sounded really cool with awesome food. I was hoping my food choice change was a good thing. I cant wait!!

Thanks everybody! My trip to WDW isn't until next year and I have a couple trips before that to keep me busy. But from what I have read, it never hurts to plan early then you have a better chance of getting what you want Once you figure it out that is

YEs I agree....have the parade to "yourself" and go to frontierland...I sat just around the shootin gallery..it was nice....no crowds, something to sit on....and eat my turkey wing!
