Hey ya'll!!

So I'm trying to plan a VERY late lunch and want to watch the parade at Magic Kingdom and then head into Liberty Tree. If I have a reservation at 3:35 will that give me enough time to watch the parade on the same side at Liberty Tree and then head in for our reservation without being late.

THANKS!

You'll be fine.
The end of the parade will run past Liberty Tree by 3:25-ish.

You should have perfect timing. The parade comes out by Splash Mountain, so if it starts at 3 then the last of it should definitely pass by 3:30 the latest. I’m sure if you’re a few minutes late to LTT it will be fine- most places offer a 15 minute grace period and I’d bet LTT realizes the logistics of getting in the door can be slightly hampered by a parade running by.

most places offer a 15 minute grace period...

Yup.
But, I just want to state that the ubiquitous announcement of
the "15 minute grace period" is not an actual WDW policy or rule.

It is really a much-repeated Disney myth.
It just gets stated and restated so many times that it has "become a rule" in cyberspace.

WDW is SO enormous, and confusing, with so many (sometimes unavoidable) pitfalls and delays, that
a massive number of ADR arrival times are missed every day.
I like to put it as "Everybody is late at Disney" at least once (if not more,) per trip.
(Consider the infamous monorail delays, bus arrival snafus, slowdowns in security checks (as it is unpredictable how "slow" the bag check lines will be
at any given time,) and hapless guests being locked in non-moving ride vehicles for various reasons beyond their control.

With the countless thousands of guests having ADRs booked daily at venues at the parks, resorts, Disney Springs and Boardwalk,
if Disney "only allowed" a (tiny) "15 minute grace period" for all of those, they would be turning away hundreds of paying guests every day.
("Your party of 8 is 19 minutes late... Sorry, you're out!")

OTOH, if guests are lucky enough to NOT be delayed by whatever sundry difficulties lurk, that's great (and most do arrive "on time/ or (the suggested) 15 min. EARLY."

But, if you do get slowed by the X-factor that is the checkerboard of unseen pitfalls that are part of the fabric of WDW,
go on to your ADR and nicely ask if the restaurant can still fit you in...
After all, "Everybody is late at Disney." ;)

Funny thing is, the Disney web site tells you when you book to show up at least 5 minutes prior. So the 15 minutes thing may be an urban myth, but Disney still asks that you show up a little before your adr.

And I think it is highly irresponsible of you to try and assure someone will always be seated if they are early. It is probably true the vast majority of the time, but posters here have heard guests turned away. It is never wise to plan on being late. Disney may seat you 95% of the time, but it would stink to be in the 5% they can't accommodate.

That would be true, if I said that.

(And, I think you meant to say "if they are late.")

Yup. I fixed it. Funny what a couple of nights with little sleep does to your posting skills.

Thank you all!! We are always the people who get there 15 minutes early but for this once, for my mom, I was trying to book it perfect. I think it will be great and we will watch from as close to the porch of LTT as we can get so that we can waltz right in after the parade ends.
