Since I really don't want to deal with the stampede at the end of the fireworks, I was thinking we would watch the parade from near the entrance and then get on the boat back for the fireworks. Maybe see them from the boat. Has anyone been able to time this out?

Yes. We've watched the fireworks from the entrance to the boat dock. It's hit or miss about seeing the fireworks from boat itself - but we have seen them from the boat, too. Just sit in the back of the boat for the best view.

One night on our way from MK to FW, our boat captain stopped the boat so we could watch the fireworks, but don't count on this.

We actually had the 'poor man's fireworks cruise' one night during our stay.

The boat TO the MK was delayed and we were sitting outside in the front. Traffic was heavy at the MK docks, so we just sat out there, not too far from the Grand I, and watched the fireworks from there.

The view was great, too bad we didn't have the music along with it :)

You might want to try going to the MK right before the fireworks and get lucky like we did :)
