The only thing my youngest wants to be for Halloween is Papyrus from Undertale. (Yeah, I barely know who that is either.) I’m not super crafty and there is nothing available commercially for this character. Does anyone have any ideas of how we could put this thing together? I’m usually bugging my kids in mid-September about what they want to be for Halloween. I tend to order a used deluxe costume of their choosing from eBay. But this year we’ve been really busy and now of course we are going away next week to DLR for fall break. So our assembly time is limited at this point. Yeah, this is an I’m a Bad Mom post! Any ideas are welcome…..thanks!

I understand your struggle, as my son is going to be Sans for Halloween this year. We got the mask off ebay, shipped from China, and it took 2 weeks. Maybe you could do facepaint for the face (easier than constructing a mask) or, MAYBE, you could work around a Jack the Skeleton mask- it would be easier to find and with some black sharpie you could make the face more appropriate. You will need a red caped (ripped, I am told, to be appropriate) and maybe a white hoodie or shirt (depending on weather) with some felt with the triangle and line symbols on the chest. A pair of paints that have bones would be awesome, but a pair of black pants with red boots or shoes should finish it off and those that know Undertale will get it.

Did you Google 'Papyrus Undertale Costume'? It looks like one of the easiest costumes to scrounge up...skeleton mask or face paint, stuff a white t-shirt and wear long sleeved black shirt underneath, black leggings with painted leg bones, blue shorts, red boots, etc. Or instead of a white shirt you can probably find a super hero puffy chest/armor and spray paint it white.

Here's a link for a homemade Papyrus Undertale costume

Looks like a skeleton costume (can get at a Salvation Army or Kmart, etc.)
Borrow some hockey shoulder pads, but perhaps not neccesary
Blue shorts
Red socks (can find some cheap soccer socks or basketball socks)
Red gloves or mittens
