Papilledema, Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

I'm worried sick about my 12 year old DD.

During a routine eye examine last week it was discovered that my daughter has papilledema.

She saw a specialist yesterday who confirmed this. She had an MRI today. I do not have the results of this yet.

I have read a considerable amount on the topic and understand what it is and what some of the causes can be.

But I was wondering if anyone here has had this or have children with this. And if you could offer an insight into what to expect or what I should be asking my doctor.

Updated to add...the doctor just called! Her MRI was clear. Thank you God! She has an appointment on Thursday and they will be scheduling her for lumbar puncture next.

No experience, but I can understand why you are so scared. I am glad to hear the MRI is clear, and hope the doctors get to the bottom of it soon.
