Do the children have to keep the same one for the whole cruise or do they issue a new one with each visit to the kids club? My dd hates the bands and always wants to rip it off asap!!!

When we cruised in 2003 the wristbands were of better quality & had the barcode for the child on them. In 2004 they were a cheaper paper & had to be replaced because they rubbed off. It does help to get her back to you ASAP if she is seperated on the ship since your info is on them.

Do they put the wrist bands on the children in Flounders also? My DD will be 1 when we sail in November and I was just wondering.

We cruised last May and DD5, wore the same wristband all week. Her's was a plastic type of material. When they put it on, they left a little wiggle room so she could take it off when not in the clubs. In fact she stills wears it from time to time.

They also had to wear a name tag and that took more wear then the bracelet.

My daughter hates them too but they put it on her ankle for her and she was fine with it the whole cruise.

I asked in December why they changed the wristbands & cost was an issue I guess. I told them that I liked to plastic ones best.

thanks for the info, we are going on a 4 night cruise and hopefully it won't be to difficult for her.

My DS hates the wristbands. I always ask them to put it on loose enough that we can take it on and off. Normally, they do. However on our last cruise, they never left enough room. We cut it off every night and they gave him a new one when he returned the each day. It was no big deal.

DS4 and DD3 both hated it when they first got it, but eventually forgot it was even there. They even refused to let me cut it off once we got home! The photographers on board are very aware of the wristbands and were able to pose the kids without having them seen in the picture.

My one disappointment though was with all the swimming they did, the print came off by the time we were home and they were rendered useless for scrapbooking purposes!
