Paper On The Go.

Hi. In November, I am headed out to a weekend long scrapbook retreat, and I was wondering whats the best method on taking paper.I loveto Google for ideas so what would I type infr that?

what about a "cropcase" from Generations - I think I got it from Mikes, it holds about 200 sheets of paper, has a handle. check out generationsnow.com or Mikes.

ugh I've tried all sorts of things and never found one I love. My current set up is a paper taker accordian type folder for plain papers and then a 2" art bin to go with the patterend papers I plan on using with the pics. so it goes paper pics paper pics. It works but I don't LOVE IT.

If you take alot of paper - it will be heavy!! I would recommend something on wheels.

I just got a cart at JoAnns' with their 50% off coupon Sunday.

It was in the sewing section, looks like an oversized milk crate on wheels with a handle to pull. And it breaks down if you don't want to use it all time. to about 15x15 or close to.

My JAs' also excepts Michaels coupons.

I go out of town to crop about 3 times a year. It is hard to pack for 3 days worth of cropping. What I find that works best for me, so I am not bringing tons of paper is this. The week before I leave I spend about 30 minutes each night organizing my pictures with the paper I plan on using with that layout (solids and prints both). I also put any embellishments/stickers, ideas etc. with the photos/paper that I think I might need for the layout as well. (I stack mine in a 13x13x5 box, but other people I know put each layout in a large ziplock too). I plan for about 30 layouts, because around 20ish is what I usually accomplish (So I have extra in case). Then I only bring one of my paper carriers with solid colors. It is extra work up front to organize, but it makes everything go so much faster when I arrive. I can really crank them out because everything I need is there. I figure with the cricut, cartridges, cutting boards, pens, tape runner, and all the extra stuff I have to bring (Brads, eyelets, ribbons, stickles, ink, stamps, flowers, etc.)- I don't want to use all my packing space up on paper.

I make page kits just like this - I put each one in a page protector and then into a ring bound album. Finished pages go right back in the album so I can sort them into the proper book when I get home. I limit what I take usually by working on a specific project - ie a cook book, cruise book, Disney, something like that - so that I only need a subset of my embellishment stock and the scraps from one page work on another.
