Paper Layout Challenge #25 (8/2-8/15) WINNER ANNOUNCED POST #26

The winning challenge topic from my poll is:



Use scraps on your layout.
Shop within your stash and use those leftover pieces you’ve been saving.

* Create an 8x8 or larger layout with any theme using mostly scraps.
* You can use one larger piece of cardstock or patterned paper as a base, but the rest should be scrap pieces.
* Don’t forget ribbon scraps, extra die-cut pieces, stickers, or any other odds and ends embellishments you’ve been collecting.
*The key is not to buy any new products for this layout.

Challenge will be open through SAT. 8/15.

Okay, looks like I'm first. I pulled this off rather quickly, despite not having much that seemed like it would work together on page.

This challenge is something I do often - for example, run a bunch of scraps through the revolution for alphabets and use them on every pge of the next few until I can't make any words out of what's left. ( the pages won't be in order in the albums - it's when I'm doing random pages) Same with patterned paper.Guess I'll have to go down stairs and get busy, lol.

I realized yesterday when I made it back down to my scrap room, I didn't get a chance to do the layout....most of my layouts are done w/ my stock lately...really trying not to buy anything new this yr. But I wanted to really challange myself and actually pull just from the "scrap" file of bits and pieces and those odds and ends of "what do I do w/ this stuff...."

I'll try and get one up today or tommorrow

And here is what I made

I even used a punch I forgot about.
The photos are 9 years old so I figure it's okay to not blur or cover them. They all look real different now.

I'm hoping to work on my tomorrow.. I think I'll pull the scraps tonight.... I had an idea in mind..but DD went down there and grab my scraps to create her "cover pages" for her folders.. yes, my DD altered 2 of her folders for school... (shaking head, we've created a monster!)

Oh man I should have taken the before shot too...was thinking of, but didn't have the camera down in the basement w/ me and was worried if I came up to get it by the computer the Dis would have sucked me in...
