We have been to Paolo for dinner but never brunch. We have a reservation for our trip in June. For all of you that have had brunch there, can you tell me how it was (I imagine wonderful)

Thanks :)

We prefer Palo brunch over Palo dinner. There is an array of foods and the service is wonderful.

There is probably some pics of Palo brunch in the very long thread below!

Do they still have the Sticky Buns during brunch. I hope so. They were awesome. Will be going in 2 weeks and cant wait to hit the brunch again!:yay:

DH and I loved it. There was so much to eat and everything tasted really good. It was a buffet type thing but they also make special food for you that you want like eggs or pasta. It was really good. A lot to choose from.

We just did Brunch on the Magic last week....loved it. Yes there were still sticky buns though I didn't try those. Everything I had though was fantastic.

We LOVED Palo brunch!

It is buffet style for the most part, with some hot made-to-order items. It includes 1 glass of champagne as well.

There's seafood (shrimp cocktail, caviar, smoked salmon, and split king crab legs), breads, salads, cheeses, cold meats, and assorted fruit/veggie apps (prosciutto wrapped melon, asparagus bundles w/ hollandaise, etc). There are pastries, including chocolate croissants, english muffins w/ adorable tiny jars of jelly, danishes, etc. Fresh fruit and berries with real whipped cream.

Then there are the homemade pizzas (get an assortment for all to share/sample, IMO), specialty eggs (benedict, julia, florentine, omelets, etc), a fabulous pan-fried tilapia, a pasta (I believe it was similar to the orrichete offered at dinner?), and a chicken parm over parmesan risotto that I *still* crave (and it's been 3 months!).

And, can't forget dessert! An assortment of small cups (encouraging sampling!): pots de creme, tiramisu, and I forget what all else (at least 4 other options?).

A quick Google search turned up these pics too:

It is one of the things I am MOST looking forward to next time! :cloud9:

I posted these on that thread a couple weeks ago.

I uploaded these because some of the DISers in my cruise meet thread hadn't been to Palo's brunch. I thought I'd cross-post them here for general enjoyment....

It's generally set up as a buffet.

Try as much or as little as you want.

Lots of bread and cheese.

These dishes could be ordered through your waiter. You could order as many of these as you wish, as well.

Same with the delicious gourmet pizzas. They were being ordered and passed around our table for everyone to try.

My first plate.

The chicken parmigiana is incredible.

And then a dessert sampling.

When someone asked about egg dishes, I posted this:

Good point. In fact there were eggs dishes (I found this in another photo and tried to blow it up a bit). These were also on the table for ordering through your waiter. I don't recall an omelette station. But I would be surprised if you couldn't order just about any kind of omelette you wanted.

One word: AMAZING!

And the grape pizza is one of the best things I have ever eaten...truly...and I have eaten all over this World.

We've been to both, and although we may be in the minority, we really prefer the dinner over the brunch as the brunch tends to tie up too much "sun" time on one of our sea days. The brunch is very nice, but not quite the "special occasion" as the dinner IMHO. Plus, you can't get Panna Cotta or Chocolate Souffle at brunch! :goodvibes

I am going on the 5 day cruise in May and have never tried Palo. We are interested in doing the brunch but when I went to make reservations, it tells me that only dinner is available. So I guess that means brunch is booked up and I have to make ressies when I board. Does anyone know which day(s) brunch is offered?

We loved brunch. Everything was just delicious. Like others said a little more relaxed atmosphere. Those pictures are making me drool. I could have had an entire meal from the cheese/bread selection.

Yes, you can make a reservation once you board. Head to Wavebands and you can take care of it. Occasionally, the location for dining requests is somewhere else, but it will be noted in the paperwork you recieve when you board. Brunch is only offered on sea days, dinner is offered every night. Have a great cruise!

We were on the Magic last week and we did brunch the morning of Key West. Had brunch at 10 and we were done till we docked and were cleared to disembark. My husband and i absolutely loved Palo Brunch. We have never done the dinner. It was the best. Great service. Your server gives you a tour of the food first. You must try the salmon mousse, on the spoon.....The best!!!!!:banana:

What is that white filling in the buttermilk pancakes?

If it's whipped butter, that's a LOT of butter :scared1:
