My mom and I were debating this. I know, we have full and exciting lives ;) . I say women don't wear them anymore, she says they do.....do you?

If not what are they currently wearing?

Only when I dress up, or course there are some women with tanned beautiful legs that can get away with it. Not me I have dead white skin. Could never tan, only burn. :(

I wear 'em every day to work unless the temperature is below 50 degrees, then I wear pants. I really prefer dresses & skirts for work.

For some reason, 50 degrees has become my magical cut off point--I have no idea why I chose that specific temperature!

I don't if I can avoid it. Cooler months though, I will wear them.

Only to funerals.:teeth:

Not if I can help it. If I HAVE to wear them I usually wear Thigh Highs. :)

We are required to wear them to work, though obviously I can wear knee kighs under pants :) I always wear them to church, though.

depends what I'm wearing and what the function. A kneww legnth or shorter skirt out with friends no hose, a knee legnth skirt to a wedding hose.

ankle/floor legnth is a different story.

also what shoes, never ever wear hose with open toed shoes

I was trying to check out location on people's answers because I was very surprised to see the question. I really can't imagine going without all year long unless you live in warm climates.

I wear them with dresses except for summer.

I almost always wear hose with a dress unless, unless it's a sun-dress type of thing and I'm wearing sandals with it.

I'm another one of those who doesn't tan, only burns. So my legs stay white year round. And for whatever reason I can't get those nice, smooth movie/tv legs. Seems like no matter what I do - shaving, waxing, whatever - the next day (or even later that day) I've got little bits of stubble. From there it takes a long time to actually grow it, but it seems to think that little bits of stubble is a natural state for me.

So the end result, if I don't wear hose, looks rather like an uncooked chicken drumstick in shoes.

Plus, I tend to get bruises/blisters on my feet fairly easily, and if I don't wear hose with shoes I'm almost guaranteed to get a blister somewhere. Except those slip-on runners/tennis shoes, those I can do. But they look really strange with a dress.

I voted no because I don't have to wear skirts/dresses to work. Dockers work just fine in my office. I'll only wear them if I absolutely HAVE to.

No. I never do. Even in the dead of winter. I wear long skirts and high boots so my legs are not exposed to the elements, but hose just end up ripping. I probably save about $100 a year by not buying them anymore.

I wear them to church and any dress occasion. I don't think my 19 yr. old dd wears them ever though. She does go to the tanning bed fairly frequently so her legs are tan but some of her friends aren't tan and they don't wear them either. I feel like I"m not dressed up enough when I don't have a pair on but I have to say that my dd looks just as dressed up as I do and she never has a pair on.

Even in Florida's hot July weather they're required in most offices.... unless you're wearing business slacks. :teeth:

I will go to amazing lengths to avoid them--they're evil instruments of torture invented by the same man who invented high heels!

I wear them to maybe funerals and job interviews !

Otherwise i proudly show off my very white legs !
