OK now I am worried This Disney girl was counting on a small crowd for next week now I see large crowds predicted! I need tips on how to get the most out of our trip without having FOTL we have 5 day passes and will do 3-4 days at US/IOA. How bad are crowds how does the pass work that comes with your tickets HELP. Will it be worth going? I hope I am not longing to be at WDW where I know how to beat the crowd! :(

Do the same as you do at Disney. Get there early and use the express passes wisely. Make sure you arrive at the gates about 45 minutes early since the parks tend to open about 30 minutes early. Do the major attractions first while picking up your express passes along the way. You will be fine. Of course it will be worth going!

It's easy to beat the crowd at IOA/USF.
Parking lot opens at 8am, be in line at 07:45. Walk to the gate, and stand at the front, you'll get in first.
IOA - Run to the left, get a front seat ride on Hulk, Spiderman, Dr. Doom. Go back to Hulk and get an express pass for noon. Go to Deuling Dragons, ride, continue back to JPRA, and the water rides.
USF - Shrek 4d first, Neutron, get express pass for ET on the way to MIB, Jaws, then anything you want.
In the afternoon, you either go back to your hotel to rest, have a long lunch, or go see the shows. If you're still there late in the afternoon around 4pm, then you hit the bars for happy hour. But you will have done the major attractions, and the others have shorter waits.

Bob Sehlinger (Unoffical guide to Disney) Touring plan - it apparently can save you up to five hours in line!

1.) Get to park 50 minutes before opening

2.) Get Shrek 4d Universal Express for around lunchtime.

3.) Ride Jimmy Neutron.

4.) Then Men In Black.

5.) Back to the Future.

6.) Might be time for Shrek, if not ET.

7.) Jaws.

8.) Earthquake.

9.) Maybe Shrek. If not Twister.

10.) Terminator 3d (should be after 3.30). And then the shows.

I've never tried one of these things, but he claims that they're created by powerful computers, have been tested and really do work! Good luck.

Don't forget the horror make-up show in there somewhere!

bump How are the crowds today anyone know?? Weather??

The weather was perfect today but the crowds were huge. I heard that starting tomorrow that the crowds will get smaller and are not expected to be bad at all next week. I'm going tomorrow also and will let you know if they are less. It has been extremely busy all this week though.

I love the Horror Make-Up show. We went last April and again recently. Both times my now 4yo was the brunt of some of their humor. He loved the attention and we got a good laugh. Last time the lady from the audience was not nearly as good as in April, so I know that the person chosen is not a plant. Very funny show.

The crowds were definitely less today (Sunday) than they have been all week. Next week should be even less busy.

I doubt crowds will be as bad as Disney, but you never know. You may really want to consider staying on site or buying express passes.
