Well, I have all my old notes, papers and articles from my Phd program. Huge stacks, bundles, and folders full of documents that represent years of my blood, sweat, and tears so I've been loathe to part with them, but in all honesty they deserve the...um, treatment that they could be subject to in the event of a toilet paper emergency. And we have a fire pit out back so we don't ruin our plumbing.

We order ours from Amazon and a year ago I wasn’t paying attention and ordered 4 packages. I THOUGHT I was ordering 4 packs of 8 rolls each, I actually ordered 4 boxes of 48 rolls each. We STILL have some of that. When I see people with their carts loaded I keep wondering how much toilet paper do those people use in a normal go?

I think it's similar logic to people creating long lines at gas stations on 9/11. DD in Seattle informs me that people are concerned about being quarantined for extended periods (i.e. weeks?)

I had some in my cart at Amazon & was waiting until I ordered some other things. Now my toilet paper is no longer in my cart.

The people my wife works with are nuts and they've driven her over the edge now too. The school put out a plea for donations of disinfectant wipes (no problem there). My wife went to Sam's Club hoping to get them in bulk. Sam's Club is out (naturally) so she went to Target - and came home with a gallon of bleach and a 4-pack of surgical gloves - HUH?!? The resulting discussion was hysterical.

I ran into a friend at the grocery store. Her cart was loaded with tons of toilet paper and bleach. She and her husband are retired, and he's on a long term regimen of chemo. She's terrified of the virus, and them having to isolate themselves in case of a local outbreak. She's usually a very calm person.

We have a big family so we go through a lot of tp, so my stocking up is not abnormal. I did however need to buy Clorox wipes because we were running low, Target was running low too. Only the fancy and organic hand soaps with no antibacterial stuff remained. Didn;t see any hand sanitizer.
