Pandora Charms

Its very pretty! How often do you wear it? When I made a virtual one online the cart came to $900+, and I've not had good luck keeping bracelets, do you worry about it breaking and disappearing? Maybe its heavy enough that you would for sure notice. I don't mean to be negative I'm still trying to talk myself into wearing mine LOL

Thanks! I do wear it often. I also like to take them apart and wear other combinations. I have another bracelet too that has charms, no Disney ones though so I didn't take a picture of that one.

The clasp is really tight on the bracelet. I find it hard to open even. So I am not too worried about losing it. And you're right, it's very heavy with all the beads on it.

I was worried about the same thing so I got this:

Both sides are locks. Chamilia sells 4 or 5 different styles of the ones with the safety chain.

Do you have Day's Jewelers where you are? My mom was at one yesterday and they were doing a buy 3 get 1 free promo still. She said they didn't have much of a selection though.

No the only retailer here is Jones and Jones.

DH got me a Pandora bracelet for our anniversary last September. He got 3 of the "spacer" beads and the basket of flowers that says "love" on it, kind of like permanent anniversary flowers. Since then, I have only gotten one other bead for it (Christmas) and it was the letter "K" for our last name, and that came from Belk.

Yes, the beads at Pandora are overwhelming, but just think about all the other companies out there that make compatible beads and even worse! The way I think of it, I'm only going to get a bead on a special occasion. So think about what kind of bead will symbolize that special occasion and look for it. It doesn't have to come from Pandora, the other companies make beads that are just as nice.

Has anyone had problems with their chamilia two tone beads gold rubbing off? I have the pandora but someone told me the gold was rubbing off their chamilia bead, I'd like a disney charm to go on my pandora but that issues bothers me.

Nope. I have a bunch of Chamilia and Pandora and haven't had a problem.

I think that the key is to pick a theme. My mom collects heart beads. I collect Disney ones. I also have a bracelet that represents my kids. Their birthstones, a hockey player, a musical note. You could also pick a color.

Are they sure they got genuine chamilia? I've had trouble with the color rubbing off on some fake pieces I got (but then I knew I was getting fakes).

I was thinking the same thing. I have sliver and gold Pandora charms and its real gold so it won't rub off. I don't have any Chamilia beads yet but I believe they use real gold too so if its rubbing off its probably not genuine.

ETA If the gold is plated, even if its real it could rub off. I just assumed the little gold pieces oin my beads were solid but maybe they are plated over silver? Off to research.

Not sure if they were real chamilia or not but i love the fact each bead is a the story of my life so I really want at least one disney charm.

I have two Chamilia bracelets, but neither one is full. My original bracelet from DH was silver, but then my BFF got a black bracelet and although I didn't like the look of them at first, I did like hers so with Christmas money from my mom and dad I bought the black bracelet and the daughter charm. I got to talking to the gal at the jewelry store who suggested I put all my Disney charms on the black bracelet and keep my non-Disney charms on the silver bracelet so that's what I did. When DH bought me another Disney charm for Valentine's Day, the jewelry store gal told him he really needs to start getting me some Murano beads to "break up" the charms so I'll think the next thing I see will be a bead. I just don't know what colors to ask for because I already have the pink Minnie Murano bead. I really like the black and red beads posted earlier, but I'm not sure where that leaves my pink one.

Does anyone wear their Chamilia/Pandora charms on a necklace? I personally don't like the looks of the Chamilia necklaces and I'm looking for other ideas/suggestions. Do they look good to just put on a chain? I'm thinking just 1-3 at a time.

My DD has a double leather bracelet that she uses as a necklace. It's very cute but short. She usually only puts one glass bead on to match whatever her outfit is for the day.

I bought a silver necklace at Kohls and wear my puzzle charm on it. Its a bit short, I may go back and get another one. This one was 14" and I think I need a 16".

I would like to start a necklace for my daughter. I think that she would wear it more than a bracelet. I'm planning to hit some stores this week in search of options.

She has just started getting into theater so I thought I would get her a charm to represent each show that she is in. She was just cast as Alice so I'm going to start her with the Cheshire Cat.

The theater company is doing Peter Pan next fall, so maybe Tink for that one.

We started my dd's Pandora for her 13th B-day, she doesn't like bracelets, so she wanted the double leather one to wear as a necklace. So far she only has 3 charms (1 glass bead, her initial and another silver one from Kohls). She said she just wants the glass ones from now on so she can change them out to match her outfits.
I wonder if these are popular with the middle school/highschool girls?

I too have the Chamilia. My first charm was actually a football because when I bought the bracelet, they were doing a fundraiser for a local charity that is run by a former member of the New England Patriots. A portion of all sales went to the charity and if you bought a bracelet, you got the football charm for free. I am a big football/Patriots fan, so it was perfect.

All my other beads are gifts from hubby except the Mickey one that I just recently bought for myself. They all have meaning and I think they mean even more because he picked them out.
