Pandora at rope drop? Navi possible without FP?

anyone know what the lines are like at rope drop now adays for FOP and Navi River?

Could someone more easily do Navi at rope drop now without a FP and without waiting forever or should we go onto Kilimanjaro (no FP) then try to FP Flight of Passage and do Navi FP another day?

We rope dropped Animal Kingdom recently on an 8 A.M. extra magic hour day (we got to bag check at 6:45) and were first in line. It's a bit crazy trying to stay at the front when they walk you to the ride, but we were able to ride Flight of Passage around 7:50 and got out around 8:10. Then we went to ride River Journey without any wait because the line was crazy for FOP by then. You could definitely ride Na'vi River without any crazy wait. Honestly, FOP is so great I'd rope drop it, then try to get a fast pass for it that afternoon too. Have fun!

Just back from a quick trip; EMH morning was an easy on and off of both FoP and NRJ. First bus didn't come for us until 7am with an 8am opening. We still were done with everything by around 9am. Just FYI, they inflate the wait times in the morning as well; when we were done with FoP, NRJ showed 30 min, we waited around 10.

This gives me hope!! Tomorrow is my 60 day mark - so I'm hoping for pixie dust to get FoP. But your experience sounds doable! I'd Uber to AK instead of waiting for the bus, though. Anything for a few minutes more sleep ; )

So, I guess I got lots of pixie dust! I was ready at 7:00 and got FoP on 3 days! Really thrilled! Am I the only one who stresses so much about this stuff? But now I can relax - until it's time to pack, but that's another silly stress situation. LOL!

No, you're not crazy! We just booked our Christmas WDW Vacation and we have spent the last three nights looking at crowd calendars and trying to decide where we are going each day! We can't make Fastpasses until October 24! My husband says he's taking that day off!

Should not be much of an issue if you are there at RD (meaning showing up 30-45 minutes before park opening). Most of the crowd headed to Pandora is going to FoP, not Navi.
