thanks for all the great info..it's pancakes tonight!!!!! DH is stopping for New Hope Mills mix and some blueberries!!!...as for not hearing about it - all I can say is I am from the Northeast and not Catholic ...but I love to learn about others traditions!!!!

Around here the IHOP offer was only good until 2.

We love doing breakfast for dinner in our house!!!! We probably do it once or twice a month - we are usually too rushed to do it on weekend mornings ...

On the DIS Board! I had my pancakes this morning at a local breakfast spot....DH wouldn't take me to IHOP!

My MIL makes the best German pancakes (her mother called them Dutch babies) and we eat them with lemon juice and powdered sugar on top. Her's aren't traditional flapjacks but baked in a pyrex casserole dish. They are soooooo good.

That's what I had for breakfast! Our staff met at a local pancake place this morning for breakfast and all enjoyed German pancakes. YUM!!!!

Well you learn something new every day. I had no idea about eating pancakes before Lent and National Pancake Day. My DH asked why the IHOP was giving away freen pancakes and I told him I had no idea why. Now I can act really smart and tell him I know why now. You guys are the greatest!!
