I went into my reservation and found that the itinerary now has us debarking in Miami. Called DCL and there has been an error. We are still debarking in Galveston as of now.
Mommaluvsdis and we are going in on Wednesday and spending a few days at Disneyland since they have never been. We are considering taking the Super Shuttle from the airport to the Grand Californian (cheaper than Disney) but then taking Disney to the port because of convenience. My DH'S used to live in California and says the Super Shuttle isn't a bad way to go.
Will look into it. Was looking at the Crown Plaza at San Pedro Cruise Terminal today (or should I say in close proximity). Shuttle from LAX and to the port. Will look into the super shuttle as well.
Thanks for the info.
As I am not local, I am just looking for a good hotel where we can shuttle in from LAX, spend the night, maybe score a late check out and shuttle to the cruise terminal. I would definitely but up for some reservations.
I know we are a long way out but wanted to see what if any interest there might be for a Pub Crawl on this cruise. On the 2011 WBTA we did one and it was really fun. We had shirts printed up and I was approached by several people who wanted to buy one. I do have to say that the crawl was really a slow walk as it included families and was generally a great time for the group to plan a get together and enjoy going from place to place. I know the group also had lanyards made for the cruise and lapel type pins. We also had a Micky Mouse Club night on the cruise where a non-formal night everyone wore their Mickey Mouse Club T-shirts. Was really a lot of fun.
Just curious who might be interested.
I'll admit it.....I am excited!
I have to agree. I live in So Cal and I wouldn't recommend staying in San Pedro. I'd stay in Long Beach if you want to be close to the cruise terminal. Ideally I'd stay at Disneyland, actually I'd live at Disneyland if I could!

We are heading home from Galveston after a great week on the Magic - starting the countdown to our DL and Panama Canal cruise! I could live on the ship! We took a foam mattress topper this cruise to see if we want to take one for our 2 week trip - after using it 6 out of 7 nights there is no question it is worth packing unless they change the beds in dry dock! I also missed the on demand room movies from the Dream. Overall it was a fantastic cruise! The staff we had were more experienced - I think some of the growing pains are getting better!
You probably can't compare staff on the Magic with those on Dream, a lot of the Magic turned down the opportunity to transfer to the new ships which gave them high percentage of new cast members or transfers from the parks. They were trying hard when we were on the Dream but just not up to Magic and Wonder standards yet. We did Alaska on the Wonder and found the beds to be newer and much nicer than the Magic when we did Mediterranean.
