I have never been to a Pampered Chef party. Yep! I'm a virgin Papered Chef party guest.

Anyway, my neighbor has invited me and I really could use your reviews and recommendations before purchasing an item I will never use again and feel I have just wasted $$$ on another gadget.

What did you purchase and just can't live with out?

The vast majority of the items PC sell are available elsewhere for less $$, but one thing I have that I LOVE is a plastic saucepan that goes in the microwave. It is ALWAYS in the dirty dishes - used daily.

I have to say I have bought many things from PC over the years and never really fell in love with any of it until I bought my garlic press. I have had others from wal mart and such, but this one has held up better than others. I hate to chop garlic, hate to peal it and you don't have to with the press. Just put the whole clove in and mush...it leaves the skin behind and no chopping needed by me!

Love the garlic press. I have some baking stones that I use all the time. Last show I went to, I ordered a rubber spatula that can be used in a hot pan. I also got the 2 cup prep bowls with lids. I use those a lot.

Have fun at the party!

I would recommend a baking stone which could double as a baking pan. Mine is so well loved that it lives in the oven. You never have to wash it and once it's seasoned, things very rarely stick to it.

If you do any grilling, then I would recommend spending the $'s and getting the barbecue spatula/flipper and tongs. I can't say enough good things about these two items. Expensive? Yes, but worth every penny in my book.

Very good items...for some reason, they have the most amazing pizza cutter! They have this dish, looks along the lines of a corning ware dish and lid, you can put an entire meal in it, put in microwave and it will cook it in 30 minutes. It is great. I also love the measuring cups with the lids. You can measure, mix and pour from the same container, then slap the lid on and put extra in fridge.

I Love, love, love all my PC items - my favorites are - the batter bowls (both sizes), paring knife with sharpener, measure it cup, adjustable measuring spoons and cups, microwave pan (both sizes), can opener, spatuala, pineapple corer, apple slicer, stones - Stones - I use the bar pan and the 9x13 alot as well as the round and loaf pans - I do not like the round, flat stones though. We also use the ice cream scoop too! My favorite is a 1 tsp scoop that we use for making cookies - make the the perfect size every time!

Have fun - you will enjoy the party!

My favorite PC items are:

13x9 stoneware pan (makes perfect brownies AND is super easy to clean up after lasagna)
large pizza stone
classic batter bowl
large spreader and small spreader (like an offset spatula)
mini serving spatula
mini-whipper (oh how I love this thing!!!!)

And one tip: Don't be afraid to speak up if there's another neighbor there or someone else you know...ask if you can combine orders and you each pay portion of the shipping. The shipping can be the most expensive part, especially if you don't want to spend a lot.

The ice cream scoop!
We also have 2 of the measure-all cup. We use them all the time. (You can get them practically anywhere now but 8 first saw them@ PC.)

My favorites are already mentioned, I guess they're that popular, I really do love them: my stones (pizza, loaf pan, several baking dishes, baking sheets different sizes), garlic press, batter bowls, pizza cutter, small knives, and I'lll add two more that I use everyday are the mini spatulas (I have 3) and the little seasonal recipe books, such great recipes in them!

Have fun and enjoy the products you choose!

Pizza cutter here too! I use it for everything! Also love the ice cream scoop, the batter bowls, and the stoneware.

Garlic Press and Pizza Cutter are used a lot at our house. Also, the 13x9 bar pan gets lots of use.

Another thing I really like is a large 'scooper' for helping to pick up chopped items from a cutting board. Sorry, don't remember what it's called, but I do think it is a fairly inexpensive item. Basically it is just a (approx) 3x6 piece of plastic that is curved and the end has a hard rubber edge, similar to a dust pan.

I am a new PC senior consultant so my house has become flooded with products over the last month or so. A few things that I quickly fell in love with and use daily are the garlic press, 5" utility knife, the deep dish covered baker (a host only item), the seasoning rubs and the 29 minute meal cookbooks. The cookbooks have honestly cut our weekly grocery expenses by 2/3's, all of the recipes have been great and they are super easy.

I hope you enjoy the show!!

Garlic press
THat HUGE pizza cutter (really is fantastic!)
And my recent that I love is the Measure mix and pour
2265_enlarge.jpg

it's for salad dressing- but I also use it for Crepe batter- My kids eat some and then I store the rest in this thing and use it throughout the week whenever they need one.

Oh and another goodie used daily is my Classic Batter Bowl(the big one measuring cup with cover!)

My mom has the baking stone with the rack and the pizza cutter. We've used them for years and they are really good quality.

I love pampered chef. Most everything I have purchased gets used...so all that have been mentioned are my favorites as well. I will add in the apple peeler corer slicer w/ stand. Making ANYTHING with apples is quick with that. I will note a couple things I don't use though... the ice cream sandwich maker...hmm... not the best. There is also a sandwich crimper thing...again...not very practical. Overall though, I would say you can't go wrong with most of their products. Even if you can get similar items elsewhere these hold up better and I think have a warranty to them. I know I have had parts replaced.

Good luck choosing and have fun!

I also recommend the garlic press!! I have used others in the past and they have not lasted nor worked as well. I have had my PC garlic press for nearly 10 years and it's still like brand new and I use it multiple times a week!

I also have the round pizza stone and love it!
