Hi everyone!

I picked up a Pampered Chef box at a yard sale this morning that says "13 Inch Baking Stone". Inside is a new 13 inch stone & on the bottom it is stamped "Super Stone" and also "Sassafras Enterprises Inc. Evanston Illinois c. 1981". The Pampered Chef instruction sheet is also inside.

I bought it anyway but what I want to know is, "Is this really Pampered Chef"? Why doesn't it say "Pampered Chef" on the stone?

Thanks for your help.

The one baking stone is actually a baking pan from Pampered Chef. It says Family Heritage Stoneware and Pampered Chef on it. My stone is pretty old tho and maybe they changed manufacturers, but I would think that Pampered Chef would want their name on it somewhere.

That may be the name of the manufacturer. Much of the Pampered Chef product line is manufactured by other companies. My oldest piece of stoneware (about 14 years) is stamped Family Heritage on the bottom.

I use my stoneware ALL the time. I love it for French Fries!

Ok thanks you to both of you.
You're making me feel a little better that maybe they changed manufacturers at one point. I too, thought they'd want their name on it.

Anyone else?

Mine says "Pampered Chef LTD" and that is all. I looked at my food chopper, though, and that does not say Pampered Chef anywhere. They definitely use different vendors (and change vendors). I have a ton of Pampered Chef stuff, and I use it all the time. I would have to say our baking stone gets the most use, though. Enjoy!

Look for the brownie pizza recipe...My kiddos LOVE making it cause it looks just like a pizza but its made of brownie.. YUMMY!:goodvibes

I recently bought a piece of stone ware from Pampered Chef. It has their name on it and it says Family Heritage. I also have a stone ware pie plate, that I bought awhile ago. This has Sassafrass Enterprises on it. I know I bought this at a cooking show but not sure if it was a Pampered Chef show.

Pampered Chef is based in Addison, IL. I just Googled Sassafrass Enterprises and they look like they are a competitor to Pampered Chef who does alot of trade shows. They have their company's story on their website, along with all the products they sell, including their line of Superstone Bakeware. They actually look like a neat company so, even if your stone isn't real Pampered Chef, it looks like it is pretty much the same thing.

My pizza stone says Pampered Chef and Family Heritage.

I've had it for years and love it!!!
