I watched the first hour last night and then had to get some sleep so didn't see the end. It was a very interesting case. I couldn't believe the conspiracy tale Hupp told about his friends helping him commit the murder by keeping his cell phone so it would ping at their house, driving to Arby's to get a timed/dated receipt, etc. That was crazy. He was at his friend's house for game night when the murder happened and he had a solid alibi. Yes, he was prone to bad tempers but that doesn't make you a killer.

I think she is. She said on Dateline if she wanted to kill someone for money it would be her mom. Then her mom ended up dead in a strange way.

I watched it last night. I had previously seen a show about her before she murdered the last guy. It's crazy that the prosecutors in the first murder didn't have the common sense to investigate her. Obviously when someone is the beneficiary of a life insurance policy that was obtained four days before a murder, that person should be the prime suspect. She appears to be a serial killer and a pathological liar. She had a half million dollar policy on her mother, who died from a fall through a railing.

I don't understand how the railings could be broken no matter how Pam's mother died. ??? But it's just crazy how they didn't investigate that death further.

They have a great web site over there. They talk about new cases and old things that have never been solved. The lady that owns it also has live podcasts. I think you have to email or something to join. I can't remember it has been so long when I joined. But I have never heard of anyone being turned down. Check it out.

Thanks! I didn't realize she lied about that policy. It's weird how her mother died suspiciously. I saw where the show interviewed a specialist and they determined that the mother couldn't have broken through the railing by falling into it. It seems like Pam would have had no financial motivation to kill her mother if she didn't have a large policy on her. It is interesting that she was the last person to see her mother and told the staff that her mother wouldn't be down for dinner or breakfast. Maybe her mother made her mad.

Maybe her mother knew something about the Russ Faria case, or questioned Pam about things she might have said about it and about Betsy's life insurance. Who knows. I certainly wouldn't want to piss off Pam Hupp, that's for sure.

I wouldn't want to piss her off either. She is pathological and evil. I feel sorry for the man she framed for murder. It wasn't good enough for her that he spent three years in prison, she tried to frame him again for another murder. The most shocking thing about this story is that she is still free.

Where do you get the information that she's free?? As far as I know she's in jail. Was she released on bail?

I didn't realize she was still in jail. I just figured she had been released on bail. I am glad that didn't happen. There's no telling what damage she could do to innocent people while out on bail.

But the jury did believe the prosecution's claim that Russ's friends were in on it, despite those friends never being called as witnesses. The prosecution had to explain how Russ's phone never left the friend's house and how he had it when he found Betsy's body. Now that I think about it though, wouldn't his phone be pinging every step of the way on the way home to correspond with the stops that he made.

In the Dateline show last night, the prosecutor, Leah Askey, discussed with Pam Hupp a hearing Russ's attorney had managed to get regarding the life insurance money question as a reason to overturn the conviction, and suggested to Pam that Russ's attorney Joel Schwartz just had a bruised ego because he lost Russ's case, and that she, Leah Askey, was confident the outcome would be in her favor. But as we know, it wasn't and the conviction was overturned, new trial, NOT GUILTY. Well, take a look at this about prosecutor Leah Askey:
