I have looked at the menus from Barb's site and may have missed it, but I am wondering can you get Lobster on the 3 and 4 day cruises at Palo's?

Lobster wasn't on the menu for the 1/19 4-day cruise.

The menus looked fairly "permanent" as in I don't think they change them that often. It didn't look like they printed them that day or for just that cruise.

Alaskan Crab legs weren't on any menu either, but they did have some crab legs served cold on one of the lunch buffets.

Hope this helps!

After living in northern Italy for 3 years, I was not impressed with the Palo menu. I had hoped for some of the standard fare not so much nouvo cruisine.

Their brunch was excellent though.

Rae...I'm with you..We are from Montreal, our city is known as "The city of restaurants"(nothing like Italy, of course..you lucky duck!) and we perhaps are spoiled by this. I tried Palo the last time we were onboard Jan. 4th, and was not impressed. In fact, I was downright disappointed, with the combination of below average fare, and insincere waitstaff (tone down the gushing, pleeeaase!), we couldn't wait to get out of there. I know this sounds harsh, maybe we had an isolated experience. (Man, I'm going to get flamed for this...I just feel it! Please understand guys, if nothing is said, they can't improve the experience..) I met another couple from NYC who felt the same way...we would have preferred to have stayed in the dining room with our servers....which is exactly what we'll do on March 1st!

this is my fear exactly!!! we're going to be on the wonder for 3 nights this weekend....

on one hand, we'd like to try all 3 dining rooms out.

on the other hand, it's hard to think about skipping Palo after how much it's raved about.... and it's just $5pp, rather than some other lines that charge up to $25pp to eat at the specialty restaurant.

we are food snobs, and i feel like after how much Palo has been built up, that we're headed for disappointment....

i guess we'll try to get our ressies on Thursday, hope that DD wants to join in at Flounder's reef, and then we'll give it a shot. I guess the worst that could happen is that the food is just good rather than spectacular. No biggie there! :smooth:
