Palo - to go....

The Captain's Gala menu has Fettuccine with Parmesan Crusted Chicken. It is not the same as the Palo one, but DH has ordered it a couple of times and enjoyed it.

We ordered desserts but didn't have enough room for it after the meal, so I asked if I could take mine back to the stateroom (that was the tiramisu, not something like a soufflé which might suffer from getting cold and deflating).

Our server got the manager to come out and talk to us, and he flat out refused - saying there was no way they could allow their food to leave the dining room. Pretty much his exact words as I remembered it.

This was only a couple of weeks ago (Sep 2016) on the Fantasy.

On the Wonder January 2015, we had Palo dinner (my wife and I, plus 3 adult daughters with their husbands/boyfriend). Our 26 year old son was baby sitting some of the grandkids (including one that was barely over 12 weeks old, booked before the change in minimum age). After we had ordered, our son called to say that he could not comfort the 12-week old granddaughter to stop her crying, so the Mom went back to the room. Palo did send her meal down to the stateroom.

I was given Palo to-go at brunch on the Wonder in December 2014. I asked if I could take what I couldn't finish off my plate from brunch last month and was told that they used to allow that but they don't anymore. It sounded like the server was trying to hint that if I had my own container I could take some with me.

That's my favourite dinner item on the cruise. Yummy!
