We have been on three Disney Cruises, so you?d think that we would know the answer to this, but since we?ve never tried it, we are clueless. 8---)

On our last cruise, the guys really enjoyed the calamari at Palo. So much so that I am surprised there was any left for the rest of the cruisers. They are both excitedly awaiting the cruise in March to get back to Palo and have the calamari again. My husband asked me if it was possible to get the calamari from Palo when we are not scheduled to eat there. So the question is, can you do ?carry out? from Palo? They?d love to have the calamari more than once if it is possible!

BTW?.It wasn?t just the calamari. I don?t remember which night it was, but in our main dining room they served scallops and both my husband and our friend?s husband ordered extra scallops. Our waiter brought out this massive bowl full of scallops and made their day (as well as exponently raised his tip!). They must have eaten like 40 of those things. Sheesh! They are already planning to eat lightly on the day that scallops are served (assuming they are served on the Western) and the day we go to Palo so that they have plenty of room scallops and calamari. 8--) Silly boys!

I think I have heard of special items from Palo being brought to the other dining rooms such as chocolate souffle'. Maybe if you let your server know the first night how much you loved this item, but don't want to miss a night at the regular dining room with him, he can arrange it!

I don't think this is possible. A few servers were willing to do this for awhile, but then everybody wanted this special treatment, and Palo was unable to provide sufficient attention to their dine-in guests and accommodate these requests.

Las August, we asked our server if he could get us a chocolate souffle from Palo's. He asked the head server who came over to our table to explain that they are no longer able to do it.

As an alternative, I do believe you can go to the bar at Palo's and order certain items at the bar without sitting at a table.

I know last Nov 2001 a couple we were with were paged from Flounders just as the Order was being taken. They delivered her dinner to their cabin. This was a special case

During our Eastern in April 2002 one of our 13 yr old tablemates ask if she could have some calamari. The head server told us that it was available in Palo and Brianna said that she isn't allowed in Palo. The head server brought us two large plates of calamari from that day forward. I sort of enjoyed it the first time. But after 6 nights of it --- I was tired of it!

Not exactly the same thing that started this thread but I was wondering if I do sit down for dinner do they allow me to take out a 'doggie bag'? DD is dying to try this famous chocolate souffle and I wondering if I could bring her back a piece of mine.

They might try to discourage the "doggy-bagging" of the chocolate souflée since it wouldn't doggy-bag that well, but they certainly wouldn't have a problem with wrapping any of your other left-overs.

vcasey: this sounds good in theory, but once you try it, I doubt you'll have enough left over to share:p Besides, the best part about the chocolate souffle is that it's served warm and gooey, I don't think it would do it justice to eat it cooled off. Just tell your daughter that it's something to look forward to when she turns 18.

We were on the Nov. 17 Wonder and Pierre brought both my DH and I and our dining companions a Souflee from Palo....

Guess you just have to catch them on a good night!
