I read somewhere that I can make reservations for Palos online. What is the website address? Thanks! ::MinnieMo

Yes you can make reservations for Palo's online, but a few things to note:
1. Cruise needs to be paid in full
2. Regular folks can reserve at 75 days, Castawat Club memeber 90 days and Concierge 120 days before cruise.
3. If you are booking for a group (many adults different rooms different reservations #) each reservation can only book for the number of adults in their party.

So if we have 3 cabins (6 adults), we can't make them ahead of time on-line for the 6 of us to go together?? Bummer! Can we do it once we're on the ship? What are the odds of being able to get Palo reservations on the ship since everyone is now booking ahead on line?

In the interest of accuracy: Registration begins 105 days before embarkation for Concierge Level Guests (stateroom categories 1-3).

One suggestion would be for each couple to make a reservation for two for the same date and time. Then call DCL or your travel agent to ask that the three reservations be combined manually. If that doesn't work, right after boarding go to the designated area and request the reservations be combined.

You are right Lew... Since I am a 75 days person, didn't really pay much attention to the rest...
That is what I had to do, each room can reserve online for the number of adults in their party, and since all the rooms were hooked up to have regular dinner together the DCL person told me we should be hooked up for Palo's also, but to check for sure once we are on board at the Palo reservation table. A bit cumbersome, but hopefully it will make check in at the port easier. Now if we can just decide about the excursions ... :confused3

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I do think you can make reservations for at least a certain number more than your own reservations. You may have to call, or write, DCL or your TA to do it though. We did this. Online it only us to book for 1-2 persons (there are only 2 adults on our reservation). But, I e-mailed DCL and they replied right back to me advising that they cahnged my reservation for 3-4 adults. I checked online and sure enough, they had the right dates, times and reservations were for 3-4 adults.

That's good news. We're going to have to do that for our next cruise in February '06.

Thanks...

How is online reservations different for REAS packages? One of the reasons I booked it months ago was to avoid rushes for Palo reservations.

Anyone have any idea when those with REAS can make their reservations? :flower:

Well our reservations are linked so we will be dining together in the dining rooms. I thought maybe because of that we could make Palo reservations for all 6 of us, but it sounds like I will have to call or email to get that done!
thanks!

Our reservations were linked with our friends (2 adults in each room) and I was able to make online Palo reservations for 4 adults without a problem. (It actually gave me a 6-adult option but I didn't click it to see if it would go through.) I actually made a dinner reservation and a brunch reservation for four online. If your reservations are linked, there shouldn't be a problem unless reservations are no longer available.

I suspect that, just like the airlines, Disney may hold some blocks of time open for check-in day? When we got here, we were easily able to change an online reservation to another time that was not an option for me when I booked online. It makes sense since not everyone is internet-savvy and Disney seems to try hard to accomodate its guests.

MaryKatesMom: I believe that REAS pkgs. can be booked 105 days out.

Eeyorefan: I spoke with a DCL rep when I was having trouble with my online ressies and yes, they apparently hold some ressies for embarkation day so that those unaware of the online ressie option or without computers have a chance to get some too. I thought that was nice.

Not actually true. Based on ressie availability, you can book for up to 5-6 adults online. I was able to do a brunch ressie for 5-6 adults, didn't need to call or email anyone. But when I went to do High Tea and dinner ressies, the only ressies left were 1-2 and 3-4 adults (the 5-6 adult slots were already gone) so I got ressies for 3-4 adults on both High Tea and dinner.

MaryKatesMom,

We did the same thing you did with the REAS package. It sounds like for the same resaons too. I contacted my TA and she said she could or I could make the ressies for the REAS since it was now offered online. I came close to seeing if I could cancel the REAS package, but then I saw the pictures fo the rooms for the turn down service and I thought I would keep it. The cruise we have added this too we are without our children so I decided it was still worth it. Anyway, I made my Palo's ressie at 90 days out and I had my TA make my massage appointment. Since DCL now has the online benefit of prebookign the Palo's ressie I doubt I will book another REAS.

You may still want to do REAS package to help guarrantee Palo times. By the time our cruise got to the 75 day mark (first timers) there were no brunch times available. This was for a 7 day. I'm hoping that they have some held back so we can reserve on board.

I have been trying for the last few days to make my Palo ressie but when I get to the continue bar nothing happens. DCL stated it was a problem with my computer but I don't buy that. They were unable to help and said there are still many ressies available onboard.Bummer I really wanted to do this now.Anyone else have this problem?

This online thing is very confusing.... We have 2 rooms with one adult in each, and these are linked with other groups with more adults. When making ressies online, using my room with one adult, it will only let me select 1-2 adults. So I called again, and DCL said that that is correct, I can only book for the amount of adults in my stateroom, and that because our dinners are linked, we should all be at the same table!!! She couldn't guarantee, and that I would have to double check when we board!!! Now I think DCL is still trying to figure things out, because she put me on hold to confirm everything she was telling me. I am not going to stress, I am sure they will accomodate. They always do. :earboy2:

This is what I am worried about too! We are going in July 2006 and I know my DH would LOVE the brunch because he loves breakfast food. I am keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Jsme: When I went to make mine for our 4 day, brunch came up as an option. I think its on the "at sea" day.
