We have booked the REAS package for the 6/13 4-day Wonder and still haven't made our Palo reservations. I plan to call Debbie at DCL dining ASAP but still need some help deciding which evening to choose. I can't believe how crazy I'm making myself over this but it's our first cruise and we don't want to miss anything!!!

Here are some of my thoughts. Any input would be appreciated before I make the call to Debbie.

1.I was leaning toward the last evening since it is the night that we repeat a restaurant but I feel like we should have dinner with our kids that night since it's our last night of the trip (motherly guilt kicking in). Also what time is the show that the kids put on with the Kids Club? Don't want to miss that.

2.From what I've read on these boards it sounds like Parrot Cay would be a good choice for a restaurant to miss since we can have lunch there throughout the trip. I thought maybe we'd make reservations on that night but the only way I'd know that in advance is if I knew our rotation. Does anyone know if Debbie would be able to tell me that? If so, does this sound like a good choice?

3.We thought about "double dipping" but we have early seating and if we do Palo's after our early dinner seating then we'd miss the show for that evening. I'm a sucker for Disney entertainment so I hate to miss any show.

4.In light of not missing any shows - if we make a 6p.m. Palo reservation for whichever evening we choose will we be done in time for the 8:30 show. How long does a relaxing Palo dinner usually run? If not, which is the best show to miss???

As you can tell, I'm very confused and I'm probably making a much bigger thing out of this than it has to be. But I've been waiting for this for so long and I just want things to be perfect.

Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks for reading my rambling!!!

We did the last night. my parents were with us, so they
handled the kids. I will say that by that time they were overtired,
and if my mother had not been there, we might have gotten paged :(

The kids show is around 5ish. Also they do a 3:30 version
of the last 2 shows. (the golden mickeys and the last one,
I forgot the name, Dreams?). the first 2 nights, the shows
were meh. Especially the guitar guy the 2nd night. That
would be a good night to go. If that ends up being your
animators night, just make a later reservation so that you
can sit with your kids at dinner.

Just my thoughts. we picked the last night and it was a great
way to end the trip. But ideally the 2nd night might have also
been as good.

We did the wonder 2 years ago. I did not want to miss any shows or dinner in any restaurant with the kids. We did the last night after we sat with the kids at our early seating then took them to the club. I beleive the show played in afternoon as well that day so we did not miss it. I will however warn you that the last night can be a very rocky one so i was unable to really enjoy the food. My husband had no trouble. We just did the may 8 magic and enjoyed Palo on cozumel night as the ship was in port until 10.Don't miss parrot cay it is my favorite one and i would not miss it.

Parrot Cay is our favorite restaurant..we would never miss that one.

As far as not wanting to miss anything on the ship..we have been on the 7 day and 4 day and still haven't seen/done everything on the ship.

Just go, relax and enjoy..don't sweat the small stuff.

Myself and DH were on the Wonder Aug. 2003 -

I would take my kids to Beach blanket or Pluto's or Pinocchio 's for dinner at 5.45 .... last night .... then, while they are at their club, you two could have a relaxing meal at Palo (starting maybe 6.45).
You could even get back your kids and watch the last show ...together.
( In my opinion you could enjoy the show in the afternoon).

Just tell your server (all of them are so accomodating) you wish to be out to see the show .... he / she will be more than happy to serve you their gorgeous food and THAT WONDERFUL CHOCOLATE AND HAZELNUT SOUFFLE' with vanilla sauce... in a mannerly time.

And don't miss at 9.45 (or so) 'TIL WE MEET AGAIN, in the atrium lobby: it's a magic way to end your cruise !!! plenty of FREE pics with Disney characters ....and dancers and actors ...

Wish you a WONDERful cruise; whatever you choose ...you will never want to return home !!!!!

We recently returned from our first cruise. We were on the 3-night Wonder. Our dining rotation was A-P-T, so I made Palo ressies for the second night (night of Parrot Cay) at 6:00 pm. We ate lunch at PC on the first day so we could experience it. We put DD in the club in the late afternoon on Palo night and checked her out around 8 pm. Our show was at 8:30, so we had plenty of time to eat and get to the show. Our Palo dinner took about 1 1/2 hours. The kid's show on our cruise was the last night on board and it started at 5:00 pm. The show only lasted about 20 minutes, so we had time to change after the show for early dinner at Tritons that evening. Everything worked out fine. Don't miss the kids show - my DD loved doing the show and we loved watching her!

I called and requested PLA rotation. Although they couldn't guarantee anything, she said we probably would get it , since it is the least requested ( ? ). SO...we are doing PALO'S Sun night at 8:30. We plan to see the 6:30 Golden Mickey Show. We'll feed the kids early. We don't especially like to dress for dinner anymore than we have to.Since you have to dress for PALO'S and Sun is Formal night...we'll kill two birds with one stone. You can always get lobster on Formal night in PALO'S.:thewave:
