We have Palo reservations for the first night at 6:30. Has anyone not received their luggage by then? Another question, does everyone have to fill out a medical information form or just those who have special needs?

4 more days to get our bags packed :flower:

Some people do not have their luggage by 6:30, but it is rare. It is normally the people arriving late to board that has the problem, typically weather related travel delays are the big reasons for late boarding.

Our luggage arrived just before the safety drill....

I don't remember filling out a medical form, so maybe only if you have a medical condition...

Medical form is just if you are requesting a special service due to a medical issue--like a real refrigerator rather than the "beverage cooler" that we all get, or any other medical need.

In 12 sailings, we've always had our luggage before the safety drill.

I think you will LOVE starting at Palo - we did and it was pretty quiet, service supreme, and a VERY relaxing way to start!
Don't worry about your luggage, it will be there

Based on my past luck, I would pack a dress in my carry on if I had Palo the first night. We have gotten to the terminal by 10:30 each time and dropped the bags off with a porter. Every other bag shows up except mine! First time I got it when we came back from the sail away party around 5:15 or so. Second time it just didn't show up & I was stuck wearing jeans to dinner with a collared shirt that I had packed in another bag. :(

Our luggage came during the safety drill (somewhere between 4:30 and 5:00, I'd guess.) We had arrived at 11 a.m.

Something else to consider about Palo the first night--actually two things: One is that if you hang around for the sail-away party (and take photos and video of your departure), you could feel pressed for time. Not sure if the Wonder leaves when the Magic did...just something to consider. Also, if anyone in your dinner party may have seasickness issues, the first night can be the worst. I'm not prone to motion sickness but I didn't get my "sea legs" till the middle of day two and my hubby (VERY prone to it) and a friend had to go bed right after dinner the first night. For us, Palo the first night would have been tough for that reason.

On the other hand, if you have to miss a show, the "welcome" would probably be your best choice. It was fun but not as much as the others. :-)

It would be extremely rare if you didn't have your luggage in time to get ready for Palo.
