Palo - More than Once???

I Know that if you are booked Cat.3 or higher that you book Palo as often as you wish ---- and that if you are Cat. 4 or lower, you may only reserve one night at Palo per cruise (This applies to me )---

However - If you call at 2:00pm - and they happen to have a vacancy (due to cancellations) - Can you eat there more than once per cruise (for dinner). Not that we're food piggies or anything

and there is a spot open. never hurts to ask ..

You can also be put on the stand by list. They will call you when there is an opening.

On our last cruise I called and asked if there were any cancellations for that night or if we could be put on a wait list. When I gave the person our room # he looked it up and told me "you've already eaten here this week" in a kind of rude tone. I said yes and that we enjoyed it so much we'd like to eat there again if possible. He put us on a waitlist, but I got the impression that he was't too happy with me and no we never got called about a cancellation either.

Anyone wanting another souffle remember you can sit at the bar and order one without having a reservation. We have eaten in Palo more than once on a cruise without any problems, questions or rude comments. I believe I would have stopped by and commented to the manager of Palo the comment, or at least the tone it was given in.

GlindaMood - Are you serious ? I can go to the Bar at Palo sans reservation and just order the souffle????

If that's the case - My DH will know where to find me on this next cruise !!! I think their souffle is heavenly - better than Vic & Als even !

Ugh..PJ...we think he is horrible.

We found PJ to be very nice and accommodating in every way. After one of our nights at Palo he even called our Stateroom and asked if everything was OK and if there was anything he could do for us. He asked if we wanted to come back the next night but we declined because we had plans with another couple.

Tell me it isn't so!!!!! My FAVORITE dessert of all time is V&A's choc. souffle!!! If they are that good at Palo, then I will be spending my time eating at the bar.....

(I'm off to pack some more elastic-waist pants!!)
