We will be cruising for the first time ever in 60 days! We will be on the Fantasy and have a reservation for Palo dinner (with nursery time booked for both littles!). This will be our first real date night close to 3 years so we are hoping for a great night! What are some of your favourite dishes or recommendations for dinner? We are not super concerned with the budget mostly want a memorable experience! Thanks!

Their fixed menu is really good. We had the steak last week and it was fabulous! You will not go away hungry! Last year I had the Dover Sole from the ala carte menu and your server filets it at the table. That was even better than the steak. It's not expensive, though and well worth it if you want something different. Save room for the souffle for dessert. They offer it in chocolate or amaretto. Now I'm hungry.

Ditto! We were just on the Wish and had Palo first night dinner. We stayed with the fixed menu also. We also had the beef tenderloin and the chocolate soufflé. We really enjoyed the meal and the staff was excellent.

More votes for the filet and soufflé. On the Prix Fixe menu, whichever choice you like for the other two courses. I think we have settled on the arugula salad and burrata w/ tomatoes.

The Dover sole is well done. The Osso Buca is massive - and well done, served over risotto.

I enjoy the “pizza” bread that is in the bread service.

Burn appetito!

Because I don’t have any other place to get it, my choice is almost always the Dover sole! It has never been a let down!

I almost always get a picture of our server deboning it! Such concentration!

My next time will be on our Wish Merrytime Cruise in December!

Pro tip with the chocolate souffle - ask for it with the espresso gelato (which is usually with the amaretto souffle). It's SOOOO much better than with just the vanilla.

Another vote for tenderloin. I love the amaretto souffle. I have also had the salmon and the lamb. Both very good-you can't go wrong. The arugula salad-yum. Enjoy!

The soufflé is pretty much reason enough for me to want to reserve a dinner there, but steak is my favorite meal ...yum!

I can’t wait until March !

for me, the Pre fixe menu is a lot of food. We are Pearl so we get the prefixe doe free or a $44 credit, I always order antipasto for the table, the penne for me and then dessert, although I rarely eat it. My husband had the fish last time and loved it. The pizza bread and breadsticks are worth the trip alone, it’s a wonderful experience.

The butternut squash agnolotti are wonderful if you're looking for a non-meat option. I also really like the 'whipped yukon gold potato puree' from the sides menu if you're looking for additional food to try.

If you decide to go the prix fixe route, there's an optional wine pairing you can add that makes for a really nice experience.

Enjoy your date night!!!

Yup, that agnolotti is amazing. And the Yukon potato sticks (which come stacked like Lincoln Logs) are a fantastic side.
And the prices for the sides are very reasonable, even after the recent price increase (now $5, rather than $4, I believe). More than sufficient for two to share. We usually order two, the potato sticks and the wild mushrooms, even though DW’s prezzo fisso filet of beef includes sides. I almost always order the rack of lamb, so the sides are needed to complete the meal.

I never considered Yukon Potato sticks, but I think I will after reading this. I just may get the lamb next week as a change from the sole. I stopped getting the lamb after I realized my MDR lamb was excellent!

I can relate to that. I tried the sole one time, and it was also excellent. However, I have a weakness for well-prepared rack of lamb and DW never eats any lamb dish, so it’s not something I do at home. I agree that the MDR lamb can also be very tasty, and I’ve had it as well on multiple cruises, since we do the longer cruises (transatlantic and Panama Canal are our favorites), and rack of lamb show up on the MDR menus a couple of nights on those. Sometimes it competes with the beef Wellington, so I have to switch off in my dining choice.
