I think I've figured out the requesting dining rotation to avoid missing shows at Animators, but I did have a few more questions about dining at Palo.

How long is the dining experience at these restaurants?
I saw alot of suggestions about going night of Pirate Menu, if we chose to go night of pirate show, would be miss the actual pirate show? Would our kids miss anything fun at the restaurants this night? Wasn't sure if this was the adult only population suggesting this.
Would we make our nightly show the night we did our reservation (we have early seating)?

Nothing happens in the MDRs on pirate night except the pirate menu on 4 nights or longer cruises. You should not miss the actual pirate show since it does not start until later. We usually go to Palo around 6 and have plenty of time for everything else. Your show time is 8:30 if you have the early dining and the fireworks do not start until 9:45. I think we are in Palo maybe an hour and a half. Not any longer than the regular MDR.

Our Palo meal was a bit under 2 hours.

We did the wine pairings dinner that they now offer, so that may lengthen things a bit---

For brunch we lasted almost 2 hours...so many things to eat and we kept going back to the buffet and ordering more food...LOL. Can't speak for dinner though since we cancelled ours for Pirate night. I brought costumes and wanted to experience the full Pirate night and we ended up having a ton of fun. The only reservation for Palo available that night was for 8:30pm so we would have missed the pre-show and probably barely just made the fireworks. An early reservation would have been ideal but it was not available. Hopefully you get what you want!

We had diner and lunch on the Magic in Palo and both were just under 2 hours. But at brunch we saw people seated after us and leaving within an hour. There are also reports of people having diner for 2,5-3 hours. At Palo you enjoy at your own pace and the waiter will adjust to your pace.
Just go and enjoy! Don't rush it.

We always get late seating so we do Palo around 7 30, just for the two of us. Dinner Takes anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours really depending on how much the you want to spend. The kids go to dinner on their own and love it. The servers treat them like royalty. Haven't done it in pirate night only because we enjoy the costumes in the MDR.

Our Palo dinner and brunch were also just under 2 hours. In the past we have booked Palo for dinner on the formal night since we are dressed up already. Enjoy!!

I have never eaten at Palo on Pirate Night but I would like that idea - the Pirate Menu isn't my favorite in the MDR. I wouldn't mind skipping it.

Pirate nigh
t is my least favorite menu. By going on pirate night you can still experience each restaurant. If the kids are old enough I would send them to the main dining room by themselves.
