My husband wore the polo, khakis, and Chaco slip-ons and he was fine.

I have seen both on many occasions. As long as he doesn't wear jeans or shorts he'd be fine.

Yes my DH also wore nice kaki pants and a polo shirt for brunch, and was fine! I wore dressy Capri pants and a nice top.
