I could not get a ressie on line. What are my chances on board the dream and where do I go? also, how long does brunch usually take?

I believe on the Dream you go to the Palo reservation desk after 1:00. As to the chances, I don't know.

The brunch can pretty much take as long as it takes, but I would say allow at least 1 1/2 hours (maybe up to 2).

:cutie:

Most times I've seen this mentioned on other threads, the rule of thumb is that they keep about half the reservations back for on-board booking.

When you check in, you will be given a copy of the first day's Personal Navigator - the daily newsletter for your cruise. Look through the Navigator to find out when and where they will be taking reservations for Palo, then try to get there early as there will probably be a line.

In the past I have not had any problem getting desired Palo reservations by showing up early enough to make those reservations after I board.

Good to know!:thumbsup2

we weren't able to book brunch online for our October cruise last year but had no problem snagging a reservation once we were on the Dream on embarkation day. we wandered up to Palo and Remy to take a look around, CMs were there taking requests and we got a table for the time we requested on our first try.

Easy.

As for how long brunch takes I think that depends on how hungry you are! :rotfl2:

I see they list a phone number in the Navigator. Can you call from one of the phones for a ressie instead of physically going there?

Tammi - Looking at Personal Navigators for embarkation day on the three ships that have already sailed, it depends on which ship you are on. For the Dream, the Navigator says to call.

If you ever take a cruise on the older ships, and for the people who are planning to, the Navigators clearly say to show up at Wavebands / Rockin' Bar D from noon until 3:30, or call after 3:30. A few seconds of logical thought will lead to the conclusion that, if you give the rest of the passengers 3.5 hours to make their reservations before trying to get your own, your odds of getting a reservation are incredibly slim.

What time is the Palo brunch? Of course it's booked up online for our June 2 Fantasy cruise...I'm thinking that this would be a good choice for us so we don't miss dinner in the dining room.

It depends on what ship your on, and how long your cruise is. They only have brunch on sea days. So if you are on a 4 day cruise, brunch is only one day making it harder to get reservations. I suggest you get to port as early as you port arrival time lets you and go directly to Wave Bands (or where it is on the ship you are on) and try and get a reservation.
