We're sailing in Jan and will have 3 staterooms. We are C'way Club and can book Palo today, the other staterooms cannot. Am I right in assuming I book first, then book what/when they can, then try to "merge" the reservations onboard? Or will the system recognize that we're all together when they book and merge them beforehand?

I'm worried about not all getting together!!

You will only be able to book for the people in you cabin, once their booking window opens you can add them.
If for some reason there are no more reservations available when their booking windw opens go to Palo the day you board and add them. Disney holds some seats back for people to book once onboard.

When we booked a family trip, we had 4 cabins linked with 10 adults and 5 kids. Each cabin had a silver CC member, and so I was able to set up online reservations at the same time for all 4. However, I was only able to set up two separate reservations for our group of 5 adults each. There seemed to be some type of system limitation on setting it up for 10 adults.

The two ressies were 15 minutes apart. When we boarded, I went to the Palo / Remy signup as soon as it opened, and asked if they could combine the two ressies to a single table and at the same time. They had no issue with that and all 10 of us sat together and enjoyed TOOOOO MUUUUUCH food, that late morning :)
