Palo Brunch - booking question, party of three

Hello folks,

I have a quick question and wonder if any more experienced Palo diners might be able to help with?

Our 90-day window opened today, and I was trying to get us (party of 3 adults) a booking for a Palo Brunch. When selecting all three family members, it kept coming up with a 'no availability for party size or selected day. Please try again' message. On the off chance, I went back in and selected just two family members, and suddenly a multitude of times, on various days came up. I selected and confirmed, and went back for the final family member. I tried to get them the same time - it selected, but returned an error when trying to convert into our cart. I was able, however, to get them in 30mins after. So, currently, I have two bookings: (1) 10.30am Brunch for two family members, and (2) 11am Brunch for the remaining family member.

What is going on? Ideally we would like to eat together. :rotfl: There is clearly availability at 10.30am and 11am for additional parties, but not us all together. What is the best course of action now? Do I just speak to DCL over the phone ahead of the cruise, or do I wait until we get on board and explain that we want a table for 3 adults?

Thanks DisBoards Cruisers! :thumbsup2

They may not have a table large enough for three but do have a smaller table that can seat two of you.

If you keep the reservations, you may stay split and be sitting at two different tables for 2.

We have had success before just going to Palo once on the ship and getting our brunch reservation. You can also keep checking online every day for a cancellation that might open up a larger table that can accommodate your party of three.

Good luck.

Thanks for that! I will keep the ressies for now, keep checking back and then see what magic can be worked once on board :)

We had a similar thing happen for our Alaskan cruise in June this year. I could get a booking for my youngest daughter and myself but not with my eldest daughter with us. I made 2 bookings one for 2 and then was able to book my eldest in 30 min latter. I though it was strange and pictured her sitting by herself and us chatting as we walked up to get food.
When we arrived on the ship I went straight to the person was doing bookings for palo and they fixed it up straight away. They simply added my oldest daughter to our booking. The 3 of us had a lovely time all together.

We did the same for one of our cruises for both Palo dinner and brunch. We had friends who decided to cruise well after we and other friends had booked our cruises so they just booked Palo as close as possible for both dinner and brunch, then went up to Palo's and asked them to consolidate, which they were able to.

Thank you for your feedback! I am glad to hear that things might be alright after all! We had two things we really wanted: Xplor Park and Palo Brunch, and were unable to get them both initially. I am so glad I tried just ones and twos, and got lucky! Now I will wait for embarkation day and a long list of things to do upon boarding!

P.S. I'm (nearly) an Aussie in NSW hahah!
