Palo attire on Alaskan cruise?

Do men need sport coat for dinner? I can't remember - and hearing overall attire is more casual for Alaskan cruise.

Nope. The key is dress nicely. Many on our dinner night didn't have a sports coat. Some had ties. Other just had dress pants and a dress shirt.

Palo dress code is the same in the Caribbean or in Alaska or in the Med or anywhere else. Ship location does not determine the Palo dress guidelines. Sports coat is not needed. Most I see in Palo wear a button down shirt with or without tie or a nice Polo shirt with Khakis

I concur! I am planning to dress up for dining on the Alaskan cruise the same way I dressed up on previous Bahamian and Med cruises. I want to enjoy the whole experience as much as possible and look the best I could in all the pictures.

This was formal night on our Alaska cruise in 2013. What I wore in pic is what I wore to palo. Wife wore different clothes to palo
