Palms Hotel by Lexington

My sister and I are considering a last-minute trip to the World the week before Memorial Day (5/25-5/31 or 6/1), but staying on property is unfortunately not in the budget! I am looking for off-property hotels that are economical, clean, and CLOSE BY! Specifically with microfridge so we can eat some in our room and save a little $$.

Expedia has this one at $76/ngt for the week, and the Palms Hotel website has it for $72/ngt. Questions:
1. Have you stayed there before? (Reviews?)
2. Is it as close to the parks as it appears? (Website says 1 mile from AK, 1 mile from Epcot, etc.)
3. Any suggestions for where I could find a cheaper rate for this hotel? I am willing to pay about in this price range, but just curious if anyone had found it cheaper! If this is good, I want to book it before it's gone, or the price goes up. Maybe Priceline, but I've never used them before and am slightly hesitant...

We stayed at the Palms by Lexington in February. It was formerly a Hampton Inn. Not a great place, but fine if you plan to be in the parks all day. The room was very clean and we got a great rate using AAA online. It truly is about 2 minutes to MGM. So close to everything. We have stayed on property many times, but found this to be a great alternative.

I already booked the palms for that same date (may 28- june 3) because I read some good reviews about it, of course there always will something that someone doesn't like Also I found a good price on expedia ( I will be traveling from Puerto Rico), but it will help so much if somebody has stayed here before and let us know!!!!! Thanks
