Palm Springs Hotel Recommendations?

Hi! I am thinking about going to Joshua Tree NP prior to my DL trip in May. So I was thinking about booking a hotel in Palm Springs for the first night of the trip. My plan would be to fly in that day and drive to Palm Springs. Spend the next day at Joshua Tree and then when I am done, drive to DL. So which hotel do you recommend in the Palm Springs area?
