I know I am starting a doozy of a thread here
, but I'd like you Palin anti-abortion supporters to help educate me on this because it baffles me.
FIRST off, is this correct information that Palin believes in no abortions, no matter what the circumstance? What I understand is that McCain is anti-abortion with exceptions in special circumstances, but Palin does not believe there are any exceptions ever. Is this correct info?
1) If this is true, what is Palin's plan for financially supporting a child who, say, comes from a teenage mom with zero income & no family support? Maybe even homeless. To provide enough financial support that this child is clothed, fed, & given a quality life? I've also heard that she is anti-welfare, but again I am not sure if this is correct info.
2) Also, what if it is pre-determined that a child will be born with a fatal & painful disease (one that will leave the child in constant pain & discomfort, minimal working bodily functions, maybe has 2 weeks to live & will spend that time in dire pain, etc...)? On top of that, the mother has no health insurance?
What are Palin's justifications for that & again, what is her plan for providing funding so this child will get the (very expensive) care that it needs?
3) Last scenario: What if early on in the pregnancy, it comes about that the mother has a life threatening illness & giving birth might kill the mother?
I am not trying to start an argument, I am just trying to understand Palin's views on this & educate myself on her views & plans. I know that McCain is anti-abortion but with exceptions &, although I do not agree with many of his views, I do respect him greatly for understanding that there are exceptions to everything. I have heard that Palin, on the other hand, is anti-abortion with zero exceptions & I think that a "no exceptions" stance on many issues like this is a very ignorant way to go. JMO here!!!
I am interested in hearing about Palin's rationale for this, but I've never heard her give an actual explanation for her view or provide her plans for how she will handle these potential exceptions or scenarios that are VERY likely to come about if she tries to do away with Roe V. Wade.
Thanks-I am looking forward to your mature & informative responses!

I also have faith in other human beings & respect for their knowledge & insight. Statistics & bulleted facts on a website are sometimes not enough to understand a certain belief or embrace a point of view. Could you imagine if the bible was all in bullets, rather than in passionate words? Sometimes asking a common person, or a group of common people will offer you different insights than sterile websites or single sided news channels. Although, in your case, the only insight that you have offered me is that you are a real

and I am very sorry for what you are going through. This has got to be a very scary and difficult time for you & your family. I completely agree that opinions change when you are dealing with situations first-hand.
