A bi-partisan panel of Alaska State Legislators has just released report indicating that Sarah Palin abused her power. Interestingly, the vote to release the report was 12 to 0.

The 263-page report finds that Monegan's refusal to fire Palin's former brother-in-law was a "contributing factor" in Palin's decision to remove Monegan from his post.

Here are the key findings:

For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39/52/110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) provides


The legislature reaffirms that every public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.

Oh, you know it! They won't even pay attention that it was brought about by a Republican majority committee before she ever became the VP nominee! They will still claim that is a witch hunt brought on by Democrats.

And if that isn't enough, McCain has had to admit that Obama is not an Arab terrorist, that he is a decent family man, and that we shouldn't be afraid of an Obama presidency! I think the Straight Talk Express just lost another wheel!

What bothers me more is that they found (the committee) that her husband Todd Palin used her office etc. to find a way to get this man fired.

This is why Mccain and Palin wanted this AFTER the election.

Talk about running a dirty campaign. How can those who are backing Mccain support this ticket when the VP's husband chose to take over.

I would be much more concerned about Mccain and Palin's judgements than Obama/Biden.

Just my 2 cents.

It's actually McCain's mess up. She wasn't the pick. And it looks to me like she was out early in the process because she was hardly vetted at all. Then the radical righties got him to change it at the last minute. That shows you the difference between the two candidates. Obama had the courage to choose someone who he thought could help him govern despite the fact that Biden wasn't the most popular choice initially. McCain rolled the dice on someone he thought could help him win. And those dice came up snake eyes. McCain tries to portray Obama as a risk. But McCain's actions have shown McCain to be the bigger risk.
