Anyone know of a good place to get a used Pal Mickey? Anyone have any experience with ebay on this? Any other good places to look? Or know where I can still find one of the earlier versions so we can try it out?

I really rather not buy a new one since they're expensive, and we don't even know if we'll like it. I would have loved to rent one to try out, but we missed that deal. I'm a little skeptical of used just in case something's not working, but I can't find any of the older models any more either (called the Belz outlets).

So any thoughts? I'd love to try one, but don't love the price tag.

PM version 1 are available at a very reasonable price at the Miami liquidation store, character warehouse 305-592-5901 or the Sawgrass liquiation store, character premier 954-846-7161. Even with shipping the cost is way below the HCOE version 2 pal mickey. I am stocking up for christmas presents with these older version pm's. (they still work at the parks, they just don't have some of the newer information, but heck for the price difference it does not matter!!!) The pm version 1's are new in the box and they even have some that only speak spanish! :cool1:

cost with shipping is 22.94 for an out of Florida shipment. (pm is 13.99 and shipping is 8.95....no tax out of state) cost with shipping for an in Florida shipment is 24.44 (13.99 plus tax and 8.95 shipping) shipping is dependent about the cost of your order. (up to 24.99 the shipping is 8.95 from 25 to 99 the shipping is 10.95) These are new, in the box, but they are being liquidated therefore they are older and may need the batteries changed. But heck, its less than the 65 for a HCOE version 2!!! Hope this helps!!! (BTW I think I got my addition correct....I bought multiple pm's)

Also, I forgot to mention their is a Pal Mickey club for adult Pal Mickey owners. Those of us in the group sometimes get carried away with our little Pal's. We dress them for special occassions and even have reunions where we meet and share clothing tips and stories. Last spring we had a Pal Mickey birthday party complete with cake, all the pals sitting around and Minnie as a special guest. Our pals journal about their trips to Disneyland and Disney Paris. One Pal even owns a remote controlled vehicle!! To observe our antics go to Palmickey.com ( I think that is the url, as it is on my favorite list....)and look at some of the pictures. In order to see more, you will need to register. Have fun with your new friend if you decide he should come and live with you! ::MickeyMo

the actual web site for the pal mickey grown ups club is palmickey.net

Hi

Just wondered if any of you could suggest where I can get one of the old Pal Mickey's and have it shipped to England. The Character Warehouse have them in at $13.99 but they won't ship to England. Can anyone help? I desperately want one for my daughter's birthday in October -cos that's when we tell her that she is going to WDW 2 weeks later. :flower:

Whenever I need to know something about Disney, I take my cousin Ernie. As soon as he walks through the gate he starts telling me what to do and he doesn't need batteries. Like did you know that Walt Disney once owned a tamale shop in New Mexico under the name "You Can't Eat Just Juan"? I never knew that. I can see if Ernie would be willing to lead tour groups for you guys. He doesn't eat much (he's too busy talking) so you do save some money there. Unfortunately though he doesn't speak Spanish. Heck, you can barely understand his English. I'm not sure where to look so I just assumed we have a version 1 Ernie.
